The price suited us. We are pensioners and watch our pennies.
The house was exceptional value.

The Old Parsonage is a beautifully renovated spacious house with all the conveniences one could want, especially for a couple, as it has 4 bedrooms. It was lovely to spread out and enjoy some luxury ....oh the joy of a washing machine!
Located just a short walk from town, we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights here. Highly recommended and value for money.

Reefton is a small township, an old mining town.
Reefton is a small township, an old mining town. One main street and our lovely lodgings, The Vicarage, is a short walk over the bridge at one end.
There’s an easy 45 min loop walk that takes you to see the ruins of the “first ever in southern hemisphere” hydro power station, across a small suspension bridge, left up the Main Street and back to lodgings after a roast dinner at the Reef Hotel. Iconic local pub, good grub. It’s a friendly town of characters who’ve chosen to live here. We enjoyed it very much. Especially staying at The Vicarage, the sounds of the river at the front door, lovely. Unfortunately only one night…..could’ve stayed for a week.

Reefton was an interesting place for an overnight stay.
Reefton was an interesting place for an overnight stay. Selection of eating houses and pubs. Good place for an evening stroll with plenty of histrionic building to look at or for a walk along the the river.

What a friendly little town with friendly residents & good facilities. I can see potential for further development. If it wasn’t for my family I’d be there. I enjoyed the Little Biddy Gin Factory tour, my walk along the river & dining at the Dawson Hotel & the choice at the Bakery Cafe.

Lovely historic little town.
Lovely historic little town. Spent a very pleasant afternoon wandering and admiring the buildings and especially the old miners cottage and thank you to the elderly gentleman who I’m not sure if he was the owner of the place but he was a mine of information and explained and showed how to pan for gold. Great fun.

Lovely old home, inside was beautiful. Garden area was great. Facilities were very good in kitchen and bathroom.Showers were very hot water. Bedroom was a good size and bed comfortable. Everything there seemed well organised and ran like clockwork. Reefton itself was so lovely. Old shops, Hotels, cafes and the bearded mine were all great to visit. Loved our stay and the town, plus the drive there was beautiful.
Fantastic location in the heart of the village, close to the shops and the river/walking track.
Rooms were clean and tidy and had everything you would need for a short or longer stay.
Hotel manager and all the employees were friendly and welcoming.
It’s quiet and really warm home. Garage is much appreciated to secure e-bikes. Love the information in the folder of what Reefton has to tempt you into the outdoors. We had fabulous weather for adventures.
On a South Island trip. First time in Reefton which is a nice place to stay. Plenty to see and do.
Our accommodation was the best we stayed in on this trip .Stayed in 7 other places from Picton to Wanaka..
The house was beautiful and very clean and comfortable. It felt like a privilege to stay in such a special accommodation. The hosts were very kind and caring. We loved Reefton too.
