A fabulous beach two hours from Auckland! We'd driven past but never stayed. Bream Bay is gorgeous. Ample facilities for a great week at the beach! Good coffee from Bach Cafe at Ruakaka Beach. Great beach, especially for catching some waves, boogie...
Great beach, especially for catching some waves, boogie boarding or kite-surfing. It has beautiful views with clear water beaches and excellent for surf fishing! In 10 minutes, you're at the marina where you can have something at Land and Sea Cafe-Bar-Eatery! There's a grocery store and you can get gas as well. Family friendly neighborhood as well. We found the local stretch of beach at Ruakaka a pleasure to walk and fossick for shells and stones. We dined at the Ruakaka Pub which has the best pizza we have ever had, (will definitely dine there again as well as the Porthouse Bar and Eatery. My friend and I dined at The Cove at Waipu Cove, food, service and view were all fab. Lovely beach walks for some much needed time away from home for a small re-charge!
