I arrived and it was obvious they were doing renovations. The grounds were untidy, and there were permanent tenants living there, possibly emergency housing. The first room I was put in was disgusting!!!! The matress was covered in stains and the general cleanliness was poor. I did ring the reception and we were moved into another room which was significantly better. Will not stay here again. It felt unsafe, could smell smoke in the corridors, and heard lots of yelling/swearing and felt that disappointed that there was no mention of the permanent residence staying as we would have booked elsewhere! The highlight was one of the residents children's pet rabbit 😄

Such a beautiful, warm, welcoming hotel. Staff were amazing. Breakfast was well worth it. Plenty of car spaces. Great location for us as we were doing day trips, so close to the motorway was ideal.
