We wanted to experience a night in the Omani desert, away from the crowds, and Starlight Private Camp provided exactly that. Unlike the larger camps in Wahiba Sands, this camp offers a unique and private experience—just tent in the middle of the desert, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and tranquility of the landscape. Our stay was truly unforgettable, combined with a peaceful camel safari, an excellent dinner under the stars, and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The entire experience felt intimate and authentic, making it unlike anything else. We are especially grateful to Ali for his warm hospitality and fascinating stories, as well his staff for the incredible food and outstanding service. Communication was seamless, and the assistance provided for driving in the desert was incredibly helpful. Being far away in the desert, the place had a special atmosphere and the accommodation was both practical and in harmony with the peacefulness of the nature. The cottage had everything we needed - including private bathroom, warm water and electiricty. The breakfast and supper prepared by the staff were delicious.

Hosts were super friendly and they informative and were happy to take special care of us. We were the only guest which was lovely but may have been better to have more atmosphere with more guests. There are lots of camps to choose from but this one is fully licensed, the food is good and the tents are nice. If you don’t want to go for the overpriced, “luxury” options, this is a great place.

The suite was absolutely stunning, boho beauty in each carefully chosen element of the indoor and outdoor areas. It was exactly as we had hoped, the sunrise views from your own terrace and stars at night were absolutely breathtaking. The staff were so kind and helpful. We did the sunset dune tour which was simply magical ending with dinner served to our room. If you are looking for the trip if a lifetime then book this camp. You will not be disappointed. It was easy to find, had everything you could ever wish for and incredible value for money! Book it!

Amazing experience, 10/10. I'm so glad I've chosen this camp among the countless possibilities: incredible location, everything was absolutely spotless and there was great attention to every small detail, the food was delicious and there was plenty of choice. Last but not least, the camp has only 4 tents, so there's a super cozy/familiar vibe where you get to meet and chat with other travelers, and with the camp staff as well (who are very kind and welcoming, as all Omanis, and will make your stay just unforgettable).
