Our stay with Paul and Daniela on Play to Live was by far one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Not only is San Blas a very very special place, Paul and Daniela go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and show you the real life at sea. Not to mention how amazing the food was. Daniela is an amazing cook and Paul makes the best pancakes!
It was a real adventure where - in four days time - we got to experience so much different weather. From a little rain to beautiful sun and amazing sailing winds. Paul planned our days spontaneously based on the weather conditions. We appreciated his enthusiasm and knowledge and felt safe at all times.
Paul and Daniela have been living in San Blas for some time and have taken the interest and time to connect with the local people and culture. They have shared their knowledge with us which we are very grateful for.
We can’t wait to reconnect with them in the future and laugh till it’s dark.

It was fantastic view on the island in the middle of the Caribbean. You could do boat trips to other islands.
For better understanding the circumstances: I’m solo traveler and regularly going to festivals with camping. I expected to kind of enjoy the island, find calmness and quiet places, beautiful nature.
What I get was beautiful nature and calmness on other islands.

We had an amazing three night stay - William and Marta were wonderful hosts who made us feel welcome and well cared for. We had plenty of room for our family (2 adults, 2 tween/teens) and really enjoyed sitting on top of the boat at night watching the stars. The only time the boat felt snug was on a rainy day when we were a bit stuck on board, although William made us popcorn and brought us a domino set and we had a great time. The San Blas is a truly incredible area, worth the journey, and experiencing it on this boat was very special. We loved sailing to new islands every day, and the locals who would canoe up to the boat to sell fresh seafood and produce. (Which Marta would make into an amazing meal!). And with being able to swim, snorkel, and paddle board every day we never got bored. My teenage son said it was the best trip we’ve ever taken!

Luca and Gabi were very attentive to all our needs. They made our sailing trip special! San Blas is pristine and beautiful.

This experience is such a unique and authentic one similar to the traditional native Guna lifestyle. Sleeping in a hut with sand floors and eating fresh fish and vegetables with rice next to the ocean with no television, no cars, no where to be in a hurry is a great way to release the typical daily stress of the high paced Western world lifestyle. Laying in a hammock while listening to the ocean and birds or snorkeling along the shoreline while passing the time until you hear the dinner call blown through a conch shell was a perfect way to unwind😌
