We visited for one and a half days and found our one night stay at Villa Condessa Del Mar perfect. I will aim to list all the things we loved about this place.
- the manager or owner of the hotel was really welcoming, warm, responsive and helpful. As we were travelling with our 8 month old baby she upgraded us into a bigger room with two beds so that we would be more comfortable. Throughout the stay she was extremely attentive and accomodating, helping us with any questions.
- during the stay we had both breakfast and dinner and although it might be a bit pricier than some other places on the island, it was delicious. The breakfast was complimentary to our surprise.
- the beach had cabanas, which not all the accomodations on the island have, as much as we noticed.
- renting a golf cart for 4 hours was the sweet spot for us, as we managed to see the whole island and visit a couple of beaches.
- the pick up and drop off at the ferry were timely.
If we ever come back, we’ll be definitely staying here again.

Ms. Gabriella was a wonderful host. She was helpful getting us settled in and exploring the island and the room and common area was very clean.
On our trip she was able to connect us with a golf cart rental company which was a great way to get around to restaurants and beaches.

Relaxing stay with a friendly staff making everything possible to make you feel at home.
It is quiet, pretty close to the the best beach on the island and even closer from the 2 bests restaurants around.
Thumbs up to Nicola for her kindness and her tips on the Island

The island does have a lot of hills so if you plan on walking be in shape or you will be winded. I like exercise so for me it was great, not hard at all. Mar y oro did pick us up from the port with our luggage. You can also rent a golf cart right at the port where ferry lands, There was 3 small shops for buying things, limited supply and expensive (its an island) plan on bringing everything you need.

The island is small, and there's not much to do around here.
The island is small, and there's not much to do around here. No bars or places to hang out after sunset. Restaurants and supermarkets close early; by around 7:30 PM, everything was closed, so we couldn't find anywhere to have dinner. However, we ended up eating at Casa Angelina, and the food there was GREAT. The places here didn't really appeal to us based on their appearance; everything seems a bit neglected and abandoned. Despite that, the food is still excellent, although you wouldn't think so at first glance. On the other hand, the beaches were beautiful. I would recommend renting a golf cart to get around the island.

Beautiful island . Perfect for family time and relaxing.
Beautiful island . Perfect for family time and relaxing. Gorgeous, pristine beaches with soft sand and warm water. We mostly ate at our hotel but the food at Pimienta y Sal was really good too. Pimienta y Sal is right on Playa Larga which was my favorite beach of the three we visited. You can rent a golf cart at your hotel to get around the island, which is also very walkable too. Going to contadora next time, I would take one of the small planes that come in daily several times a day, especially if you’re pressed for time to get back to Panama City. The ferri ride is ok but I takes 2 hours each direction. The plane ride is only $20 more and it’s a lot faster. I would have really liked to have had the time to stay a couple days longer. We had a wonderful time!!!

Contadora Island made an easy get away from Panama City over a weekend during a two week work trip. The ferry to the island was affordable, easy and we even saw humpback whales and dolphins on the way. The beaches I visited on Contadora were clean with beautiful warm water. If I return to Panama City for work again, I am likely to book a trip to Contadora Island again.

Ferry ride from Panama City was easy, comfortable and safe.
Ferry ride from Panama City was easy, comfortable and safe. Island is also very safe, with friendly people and beautiful beaches. Renting a golf cart was the right thing to do as it allowed us to explore everything. The tap/shower water smells a bit funky, and there are not a lot of restaurants/food choices, but otherwise great for a few days for our family of three - we came for the gorgeous beaches! The town is very quiet, this is not a party place.

Contadora Island is beautiful and very safe.
Contadora Island is beautiful and very safe. The whitish, sandy beaches, and transparent to turquoise water are splendid. The disadvantages are the relatively high ratio of the cost of hotels relative to facilities. Food is very expensive. Restaurants charge European type food prices. In most of the US you would pay less for the meals served on Contadora. Fresh fruit is relatively hard to get on Contadora. If we return to Contadora we will bring fresh fruit and other food from Panama City.

The room was super comfortable, very clean and spacious, they picked us up at the airport and gave us a tour of the island restaurants and beaches and greeted us with a delicious romantic cocktail. Lauren and Robert were exceptional, they were very attentive to what we needed, they also have a lot of information about the island tours and golf carts, the hotel is a bit far from the beaches but with a golf cart you can go to all parts of the islands. We will be back.
We had an amazing stay. The hospitality we received upon arrival was beyond and we were extremely well attended to by staff during our stay. They were quick to accommodate anything we needed and the beach/outdoor facilities are the best we’ve stayed at on the island. We’ll be back again when visiting panama for a relaxing vacay
The staff were pleasant, nice, helpful and talkative.
The breakfast was delicious.
The location is about a fifteen-minute walkaway from the marina where the ferry stops, but the hotel is a four-minute walkaway from Playa Larga.
The sea water was warm at the beach.
We had a fantastic time here! The beds were very comfortable, and the terrace was a perfect spot to unwind. The best part was the hospitality—Gabriela was so kind and gave us great tips for exploring the island. Highly recommend for a cozy and welcoming stay!
