Location location location! Best area right above the Sofitel Kia Ora and the Temae Public Beach and surrounded by beautiful nature.
Our kid enjoyed the pool (big plus when you have jet lag and wake up early).
Amazing sunrise right in front of you.
The bungalow is cozy and has everything you might need. Bathroom is quite large and they have a washing machine.
Hosts have been extremely communicative and clear in their instructions and had great conversation about Moorea and coral conservation.
Just a note if you have small children like us (or challenges in walking): as indicated in the description, this bungalow is uphill so we would recommend having a car if you want to head to the beach.
Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort is located on a picturesque white sand beach, and boasts spectacular views of the crystal lagoon and the iconic silhouette of Tahiti Island.

The location is perfect for snorkelling. Beautiful ocean. The best view in Moorea.

Nice setting with an over the water restaurant and traditional feel. I felt this place was over priced having visited several other establishments. They list a cot as available on request. I twice requested a cot by the chat feature on Booking but got no response. On arrival at the hotel I was told that they could probably find a cot but at a price of 42 euros a night. This seems ridiculous to me and I would not visit again with a small child or baby. Restaurant was over priced and the menu limited. Staff tried to persuade us to eat in the hotel every day.

The property is lovely. Unfortunately, we had two days impacted by lack of hydro, one other no internet, and three other with no air conditioning.
Very tiny beach, small water area with balance not walkable due to coral and or rocks. Streets in area are nicely walkable.

Easy communication with the hosts, fully equipped kitchen, good and spacious common areas with plenty of sofas and table-chairs. Helpful with ideas for things to do in the area and it's possible to rent bikes at the hostel.
Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea is a traditional Polynesian-style resort, located just 10 minutes’ drive from the airport. It offers garden bungalows with a sundeck and private plunge pool.

It lived up to the advertising, but the restaurant was a little disappointing.

The view is amazing! The place is quiet! I slept with the door open facing the sea! The people were very polite and helpful! The manager was very kind. I stayed for 5 nights and wished I could have stayed longer. I will definitely be back!

The manager Kevin was incredible. More than helpful in every way, booking our trips for us and getting discounts on them, came fishing with me in the sea organising our breakfasts. The accommodation was well equipped and perfect for us and what we needed. We enjoyed the walk to Tamae beach, and the snorkelling there was awesome. Really enjoyed getting up early and seeing the sunrise from the small beach of the accommodation, opening coconuts that had washed up and even seeing whales not far off in the sea. We had use of some bikes free of charge (they could do with a little bit of maintenance Kevin), which enlarged our area of exploration and Kevin also rents cars out too (though we didn't). Some people have mentioned that it is a little far from anywhere, but all three trips that Kevin organised for us had pick up included so we didn't feel isolated in anyway. We had an amazing time there and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for making our stay so special Kevin.
Beautiful rustic setting, close to gorgeous beaches,...
Beautiful rustic setting, close to gorgeous beaches, friendly people. Great if you like water sports - kayak, jetski, snorkeling, diving, swimming, just lounging in the clear warm water!
You will need a rental car to get around no matter where you stay - no uber. You can drive around the whole island in about an hour. A great tour to take from Albert Tours is the snorkeling with sharks & rays. It includes a nice lunch.

I could not have wished for more.
I could not have wished for more. Sublimely beautiful private room with jacuzzi and shared infinity pool with Balinese and Indian style decor and possibly the best view in Moorea . Very Zen. The perfect place to stop off and unwind after a hectic few months. The lovely host Beatrice helped by Elodie made the stay even more special. Delicious and filling breakfast. A world class massage delivered on the property. Snorkelling on nearby beach. Thoroughly recommended. I did not have a car, which might have been a bit tricky if I was staying longer as limited local food options.
