Banaue – 52 hotels and places to stay

18 km from Banaue Rice Terraces, Querencia Inn is situated in Banaue and has a restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel features family rooms.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Sheets were clean. Pillows and bedding were very comfy. Hot shower. Hot and cold water cooler. Plenty of free cups and mugs to use. Restaurant serves good food at great prices. The double decker sandwiches were also great as a packed lunch for Batad (you'll need the energy). Location is right in the middle of town, lots of restaurants, grocery stores, etc nearby. Covered patio at the restaurant so for us smokers, you've got a place to have a puff without exiting the building.

Boasting mountain views, Bogah Lodge features accommodation with massage services, around 14 km from Banaue Rice Terraces.

Such a great place! We felt so welcomed. Beautiful location. We enjoyed their terrace, their food and the friendly staff. Denwil and Chris organised some great tours through the rice fields. We walked in the midst of the rice fields, through very authentic villages and between the mountains. They also stopped the car for the amazing views. It is so beautiful. We can truly recommend this place!!! Thanks De wil, Chris and the two lovely woman in the kitchen. Madeleine and Monique

Situated in Banaue and only 13 km from Banaue Rice Terraces, Banaue Greenfields Inn features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Absolutely lovely people at Greenfields, so friendly and helpful. The inn is a couple of kilometres from the centre but there’s plenty of tricycles and it’s walkable anyway. The location is therefore good with great views. The home cooked food is very good too.

There is nothing to do there.

There is nothing to do there. It's just a stop on the way to Batad Terraces. Once you hop of bus they will force you to pay tourist tax even if they don't know where you go. Also they will push to buy transportation for way higher price. There is one nice restaurant where you can eat before or after your Batad trip. Additionally you can leave the luggage which is recommended before going up and downhill on rice terraces. However Batad Rice Terraces were worth the hassle to get there. Just beware of of scammers.

Going to Batad is a trip you must do at least once in a lifetime, the scenery is marvelous, we had a great time hiking and going to the falls. The food is mostly organic (produced locally), the people are very nice, kids were greeting us everywhere.

I liked the morning coffee while enjoying the view of small rice terraces at the back of the hotel. The bigger ones at Batad and Banaue were wonderful but be ready for some serious walking up and down steep trails in Batad. Didn't like the state of cleanliness in the city in general, too much junk, old cars and rusting motorcycles on the road, and also the common practice of spitting publicly on the streets, sidewalks etc.

The Banaue Rice Terraces are overrun by houses and businesses. They are also not being maintained and are becoming overgrown by foliage. If you want to see truly scenic terraces go to one of the surrounding villages such as Batad or others in that area.

Come during the dry season of the country, rain and roads would be closed on wet season and be tricky. It shows how such group of people in the mountains were able to leave such a legacy , using limited resources to thrive , not forced labor but simple hands work for years, the result lasted 2000 years till now with nature’s help, Amazing!

We ordered a tour guide (excellent) from the hotel, as well as a Jeepney, both of which may have been cheaper from the Tourist information desk 500 meters from the hotel. The tours are magnificent, as you would expect from the 8th Wonder of the World
