We were told not to expect too much from accommodations in Banaue, so we were very pleasantly surprised to enjoy the very spacious, clean room, with the wonderful view over the valley from the balcony.
The staff, and especially Jenifer did everything to help in the usual Filipino smile from the heart.
I am sure anyone booking this hotel will be very satisficed and I am happy to recommend Tam-An Hotel, they were excellent value for money.

Room 11 has a fantastic view of rice terraces at sunrise, about 350 meters from your all-glass, floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall window! Convenient location along the main road, 2 kilometers from the public market. Good free internet connection at the lobby and their on-site restaurant, with a variety of breakfast and dinner options at reasonable prices. Many thanks to Irene and Rose for being such gracious hosts and tour guide, it was a marvelous 4-days and 3-nights stay!

Nice spot at the upper part of the town. It's a steep climb down, so if you just want a nice view, this is the place. The house has a flat roof with some chair where you can see most of the rice fields, and most of the town at the bottom. The rooms are basic, very thin mdf walls, a window, a bed. If you tend to get cold easily, maybe ask for an additional blanket as the temperature seems to drop a decent amount at night. There is a hot water shower, and a squat toilet. Power sockets in the common areas.
Savta Homestay offers accommodations in Banaue, 8.7 miles from Banaue Rice Terraces. This 1-star guest house offers a shared kitchen and luggage storage space.

Great spot at the end of the city towards Batad. The rooms are spacious with two outlets, comfy bed, there is a hot shower, a toilet with toilet seat, a little kitchen area for washing dishes or making some coffee, a big terrace with tables and a great view, and you can get wifi and towels.
What makes this spot special is that Elma can book EVERYTHING for you, from transportation to and from your bus in Banaue, transport to and from Batad (keep in mind that Batad has no reception, so you might have to purchase wifi time to tell her a time you want to come back), busses to Manilla or Sagada, she can even help with making some plans for tracks and sights.
We left our bags there, went to Batad for one night and returned to Savta's house to pickup our bags, a shower and it was just a very comfy experience.
Also, the food made in her nephews bar (5 min walk) is delicious, so ask her about that if you want some good food, and entertainment while eating (karaoke, pool, terrace with view).

The address 777 Viewpoint, Mayoyao does not exist. We even asked help from the Police Station. Finally a contact person came to let us know that the hotel we were looking for required a steep downhill walk. Please checkout the existence of this “hotel”. This looks like a scam

On average, it costs $24 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Banaue for tonight. You'll pay around $99 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Banaue will cost around $16, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
There is nothing to do there. It's just a stop on the way to Batad Terraces. Once you hop of bus they will force you to pay tourist tax even if they don't know where you go. Also they will push to buy transportation for way higher price. There is one nice restaurant where you can eat before or after your Batad trip. Additionally you can leave the luggage which is recommended before going up and downhill on rice terraces.
However Batad Rice Terraces were worth the hassle to get there. Just beware of of scammers.

Going to Batad is a trip you must do at least once in a lifetime, the scenery is marvelous, we had a great time hiking and going to the falls. The food is mostly organic (produced locally), the people are very nice, kids were greeting us everywhere.

I liked the morning coffee while enjoying the view of small rice terraces at the back of the hotel. The bigger ones at Batad and Banaue were wonderful but be ready for some serious walking up and down steep trails in Batad. Didn't like the state of cleanliness in the city in general, too much junk, old cars and rusting motorcycles on the road, and also the common practice of spitting publicly on the streets, sidewalks etc.

The Banaue Rice Terraces are overrun by houses and businesses. They are also not being maintained and are becoming overgrown by foliage. If you want to see truly scenic terraces go to one of the surrounding villages such as Batad or others in that area.

Come during the dry season of the country, rain and roads would be closed on wet season and be tricky. It shows how such group of people in the mountains were able to leave such a legacy , using limited resources to thrive , not forced labor but simple hands work for years, the result lasted 2000 years till now with nature’s help, Amazing!

We ordered a tour guide (excellent) from the hotel, as well as a Jeepney, both of which may have been cheaper from the Tourist information desk 500 meters from the hotel.
The tours are magnificent, as you would expect from the 8th Wonder of the World
