The place, the wonderful staff: Annie and her team at the reception, the restaurant with delicious food and very nice staff. I am sorry to give a 6 because for this price, you are waiting for more amenities in the room: No glass to clean your teeth, the shower is broken, no tissue box. My friend forgot his tooth brush: The guard was so sweet and helpful that he took his bike to get one in Donsol at night, asking nothing in return.. You should think that they would have a few toothbrushes available in stock, in case. NO bottle of water, no access to purified water. In many resorts in the Philippines, even 2 star, you have access to cold and hot water on a dispenser. I told Annie at the reception that if that hotel was not close from the Whale shark center, they would have no guests coming back! I would recommend to make an effort on amenities and when I come back, I will be happy to give a 10/10 to that hotel.

Villa Kulintang is hands down one of the most magical places we've ever stayed. From the moment we arrived by boat, we were blown away by the beauty and tranquility of the setting. The location is absolutely perfect – remote enough to feel like a true escape, yet Chris is happy to accommodate any requirement to go back to town or any other island. The villa itself is immaculate – clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. But what truly makes Villa Kulintang unforgettable is the incredible staff. Chris and Sylvia are absolute stars. Their warmth, kindness, and attention to every little detail made us feel right at home. They go above and beyond in every way to make your stay special – nothing is ever too much trouble. It was a very lovely stay with very nice and helpful people! You really feel at home 🥰. The location is great to do the activities in Donsol but it's right across a karaoke bar which kind of kept us awake until midnight. The hostess is very friendly and offers a great breakfast (at additional cost but worth taking for sure).

The room was a pleasant surprise: modern, spotless, and outside a small kitchen fully stocked with utensils and a fridge. We opted for the non-fan room, and thanks to the rainy, cooler weather, it was totally fine. Hotter months? That might be a different story.
