The view of the sea from the room is lovely. You can see high tide from the sitting area at night and if you watch it at about 4 or 5 in the morning you will see the water receed.
The staff are all lovely. So so nice we always go back when we can.

Great location to visit local so leyte areas. I've stayed a few times now. Great hotel with friendly and helpful service, nice breakfast, cool coffee shop. Sounds like the nearby church has lowered their bells volume signifactly.

We liked everything! So many things stood out. Our host, Mareeya was so much fun to talk with, laugh together, etc. She had the perfect mix of being attentive but not being intrusive during our stay. The facilities were clean, the location is good for snorkeling and scuba diving in front of the property. There are probably 15+ other dive locations within 15-30 minute ride. Multiple beaches, whale shark watching, local restaurants, etc in close proximity.
Excellent breakfast to order at the time we preferred, (Western and/or Filipino foods), reasonabe prices for lunch and dinners there were delicious. They have a relationship with a local dive master that trained and certified my Filipino fiancee on site. (Enclosed pool training and open water) He brought the rental equipment to us and he was happy to allow me (AOW certified) to join the open water training/testing/fun dives.... All at Portofino Homestay) Overall, I highly recommend!

This place is a hidden gem. Very quiet secluded beautiful property. The host and her husband are awesome friendly people and we throughly enjoyed talking with them. Also the host is an excellent cook! We had dinner and breakfast there before on our way and both were prepared to perfection. My one and only complaint is that It’s a bit far from the ferry in Massin and it was very hard to find a good rental car to travel there. I was not prepared to travel that far. I thought I could find a tric or taxi but none would take us that far. The rental car people we rented from were terrible but that isn’t the properties fault. We were just staying there for one night while using the ferry to go else where, but this place needs to be a place you will spend 4 nights minimum. We will definitely go back and learn to dive there in the beautiful pool. This place has so much to offer
