Roxas City was a surprised gem.
Roxas City was a surprised gem. It had enough attractions for a connecting respite between Gigantes Islands & Boracay, even Iloilo or even beginning adventure trail!!!
Major attractions were Sacred Heart church up the mountain nearby which offers nightly mass. Beach w street food carts is a cool place to chill & hangout. The plaza is a very good square to get one’s historical fill - local museum, Capitol, Cathedral- mass officiated by Archbishop during an early Sunday morning mass, n nice river view & walk in the small green space. Bus terminal is not far to connect to other cities every 10 mins departure, no booking required. Tricycles abound and cheap. Grocery stores in 3 nearby malls - Gaisano, Robinson’s & SM. Airport is nearby, use tricycle from main road, not at the airport which charge exorbitant rates!!! People are friendly. Easy walking around CBD!!! Hire an all day tricycle tour guide like Agustin (affiliated with Olive Hostel) and tour Sta Monica church & famous Panay Bell - biggest in Asia!!! Eat Panay’s divine desert delicacy - Puso - with local coffee at Revolucion across from Sta Monica church. Go hike & see the lighthouse at Culasi. Walk around the Beach. See the Sacred heart church during the day & night for comparison. See and walk around Provincial garden.

My favourite place is Terraza, the ambiance is really nice,...
My favourite place is Terraza, the ambiance is really nice, the price is just right. Its a bit far from the Plaza and need to hire a tricycle, walang sasakyan pabalik. We tried different local foodies. I think it's best if we could rent a motor to roam around the Roxas and nearby places, what we did kasi is DIY lang since dalawa lang kami, yung okey bye!
