I looked it up, saw it was rated 8+, but honestly, the staff and the building were way below average. Staff was unprofessional. I booked a room, but they said they didn't have any and ignored my reservation. i heard them saying, " is waley room me rakhwa dety" I was with my family, and they were so disrespectful.

Visited Multan after 17 years. My stay was just a 1 night break for onward journey by road. Didn't get to see much.
I travelled by road from Karachi with my son. Our first time road travel this long. Left Karachi 5.40 am and reached Multan around 5pm via M5 motorway. We just stopped for tea at Noshehro Feroze and fueled up just before M5 in Sukkur from Taj Gasoline.
We entered Punjab by noon time which was perfect. However our return journey was from Okara and left late i.e., 4pm. Travelling in Sindh after sunset is not adviseable even on M5. M5 in Punjab is better than in Sind i.e., speed cameras are present, road dividers have these long platetes to block headlights of oncoming traffic and road lanes are were illuminated. Sind part lacks on these majorly. There were rangers, police and motorway police patrolling around Ghotki as it's unsafe patch. I saw a Corolla MW climbing down and another vehicle climbing up on to MW from the "un-skirted" portion and that didn't sound too safe to me.

It is the city of Auliyaa Allah.
It is the city of Auliyaa Allah. People of Multan are very a welcoming and respectful people. I went back to my birthplace after 30 years. A whole new generation of my childhood friends was ready to get them introduced to me. It was an emotional roller-coaster for me.
It is easy to get around, just call an Uber and ask them to take you to visit the fort and the classical tombs of Shah Ruknuddine Alam and his grandfather Bahauddine Zakariya Sahib and the Bin Qasim Stadium. Don’t forget to visit the Damdamah.

Shopping in Gulgasht and visiting the mazars of saints was a wonderful experience in Multan.
However there are good and bads in every city. While driving, I observed that the people, even driving the cars, were very impatient. They honk horns excessively to let them pass first. It felt annoying especially on small roads in the markets where there was no room to take a side.
