This was our first stop on our Lower Silesia tour and we were fresh off the plane from Warclaw. Easy to find and perfect location for our exploration of the castle and underground tunnels the next day.
Perfect for an overnight stop off.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The main highlight for me was the fantastic swimming pool and gym facilities, which were well-maintained and perfect for relaxation and workouts. The meals offered were quite good, with a variety of options that satisfied my taste buds. Additionally, the staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout my stay.
The bed was not too bad, providing a decent level of comfort for my nights there. However, I did encounter an issue with the television; it was broken upon arrival, and while the staff promptly exchanged it for a new one, the replacement still didn’t work as expected.
Despite these minor setbacks, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel for its excellent amenities and friendly service.

I enjoyed the beautiful views from the viewing towers on the nearby hills (Chelmiec, Borowa, Wzgorze Gedymina). But hiking in this area is not easy. The hills are not very high, but the paths are often very steep and difficult to climb.
Restaurants offer a good choice of craft beers. These are generally very good, on contrary to the standard beer production. I can recommend Coolturalna Moontownia (in the old mine area), Zlota Stacja (in the city center) and Jedlinka brewery.
At the beginning, I struggled figuring out how to pay for the city transport. In theory, you can buy tickets at the driver but on one occasion the driver was very rude at me when I did not have the exact change. The best possibility is to pay with card. It is easy but first you have to find a special small round black and yellow device, located usually at the middle door. The orange devices around the bus just stamp the paper tickets.
The old mine area is fancy and do not forget to visit it if you like industrial sights.

Excellent Castle, very interesting underground tour, good breakfast, good view of castle from our window. We walked to the Hotel through the forest from the bus stop which was lovely, However we got the no 8 bus at the gate directly back to the train station at Walbrzych. Should have got train from Wroclow to Walbrzych not Swiebodzice where we had to get the No 1 bus then walk through the gate and forest to the hotel.

the old town in Wałbrzych is very small and we thought we would be bored. However, there are very interesting things to see a little way away, Zamek Książ, the Palmiarnia and Stara Kopalnia, all easily accessible by bus. We also visited Jelenia Góra which has a bigger old town and is touristy, easy to access by train. We picked Wałbrzych as access to Jelenia Góra and Kłodsko are so easy. We ate at Pasaż which has Polish food. We also ate at Frettza Pizza and the sushi place, both good. I ate at Bar Pierożek, a milk bar near Pan Tadeusz, which was ace - but I always go on my own :)

Beautiful city, covering a few valleys and stretching rather far. It was a real jewel once. There are signs of decay which happened after WWII unfortunately. These may add to an overall romantic and mystic vibes of this place. The mountains are well worth a few days of hiking. But also the explorations of the hidden corners of the old city. The castle (the largest one amongst many others located here) is famous but way overcrowded: couldn't get to it. But I'm definitely going to revisit this charming place.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel near Książ Castle. The breakfast was superb, the neighborhood peaceful, and the proximity to a stunning old park and the majestic castle made for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for history and nature enthusiasts!
Fantastic location beside Ksiaz Castle. Large bedroom and bathroom, facilities are very clean and well-kept. Excellent breakfast included in nearby restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.
