The hotel is ideally located in Viejo San Juan, within walking distance to just about everything. It definitely has the Old San Juan look. There was no hot water for the three days that we were there. We repeatedly asked for hot water but to no avail. The elevator was slower than dirt (several minutes waiting for it to arrive). The "stairs" were not a suitable alternative. They were death stairs. They were all different heights and different tread depths. Definitely would not want to carry luggage up and down them because the elevator was unreliable. The room had no exterior window. The A/C can not be controlled by the occupant. The desk clerk had to come to the room with a remote to change the temperature. With only one staff member on at that time, it took more than an hour for the A/C temperature to be changed. The swimming pool on the roof was missing multiple tiles on its walls. It is an infinity pool, and the spillway had collected a lot of trash that wasn't cleaned while we were there. For the amount charged per night, these little "inconveniences" are not acceptable.
