Located in what once was a picturesque fishing village, Al Sultan is a beach resort resembling a Bedouin fortress. It overlooks it's private beach on the Arabian Gulf and features an outdoor pool.

It was a nice location, beach, pool, gym and architecture. Average garden and space to hang around, inside the premises. Family friendly with sports activities but no kids club as such. Breakfast was average when it comes to number of options available, lot to improve. The long way from kitchen to serving area has added lot of inefficiency to the operation. Rooms were spacious and clean, but common areas of the building (6) were not. Enough parking space available inside the premises but floor markings for parking are not in correct dimensions (Shaded parking).Very hard to open the doors. Check in and out process was very quick.

    Al Khor is basically outside of Doha but not that far, a 30 to 45 minutes drive from old airport road depending on the traffic. Once we catch the doha expressway or costal road you will reach in 20 minutes to Alkhor. Not too much of traffic, and kind of nice place. You will find quite a lot of good restaurants within the area. The property is well located within the Al Khor city limit and you can still order online for food from outside the resort and you will get it delivered within 30-45 minutes.

    We like everything. We stayed in Sea View Suite 609 and 611 (the only suites with balcony facing the sea). The hotel area is rather small but has amazingly satisfying facilities. The variety of pastry in the breakfast menu is delicious. The staff are kind and helpful especially the reception staff (I believe they are egyptians). I'm sorry I forgot to ask the names, but I remember one lady who is expecting a child- barokallah fiiha, may Allah grant her safe delivery and healthy baby. Amiin. Surely we are coming back next time!
