PROs:
- the location is fine: there is a beach nearby, shops and restaurants if you have not rented a car
- free parking in the yard of the hotel
- the room was nice, clean, especially the view to the ocean
CONs:
- the breakfast was kind of average: the pancakes, the beans seemed to be bought and they forgot some items in the last day
- there were some flocks of hair on some towels
Overlooking Anse a La Mouche Bay, La Residence Anse La Mouche is situated just 50 metres from the Indian Ocean. The creole-style, self-catering apartments all come with air conditioning.

We were staying here for 10 days and have been very pleased!
Comfortable apartments: fully equipped kitchen, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, high-quality dishes. Spacious and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Very cozy area - beautiful garden.
The hostess Lynda was very hospitable, friendly. We’ve been treated to local fruits and delicacies. She provides a bus card for use, and responds to all requests very quickly.
An important detail for Seychelles: the villa is located on a flat area; there are two shops and a vegetable market within walking distance. This is a great place for hiking and enjoying stunning tropical nature.
So "Orchid Sunset Guest House" – the best villa for an amazing holiday in such a paradise!

It was a beautiful apartment, very spacious and clean. It was at walking distance from the beach which had a good atmosphere: people eating and drinking while listening to music. We really enjoyed buying fresh fish which was so delicious! Francis was very welcoming, and is a fantastic host.

+ The hotel room was just great, very spacious, well equipped and super clean
+ Very friendly and helpful staff
+ The pool is just amazing and perfectly close to the rooms
+ Great amenities such as the pool, tennis court, the turtles and the hill with the beautiful view over the whole area
+ The breakfast was good and included everything needed
+ Good restaurants in the nearby area
- The hotel is quite remote and taxi/rental car needed to get around the island
- - The price for the dinner buffet with around 80 EUR Person was way too expensive and was “cheating” on guests

Anse La Mouche bay is a quiet and pleasant place for a beach holiday. However, it is also a suitable "base" for exploring the entire island of Mahé - the island is not too big, so you can easily get to any place of interest from there (for example, by a well-functioning and cheap local bus service - I recommend avoiding taxis if possible, because they are of good quality , but quite expensive). In the immediate vicinity, I recommend visiting the gardens of Kot-Man-Ya and Jardin du Roi, as well as Takamaka beach (beware of strong waves and currents here) and not far from this beach also a remarkable formation called Ros Sodyer, which is a natural rock pool on a cliff above the sea, similar to little Mexican "cenote". It's a breathtaking natural phenomenon, but beware of the quite difficult access route climbing through the jungle and over the cliffs, not suitable for children and the elderly!
From more distant destinations, of course, visit the capital Victoria, and more physically fit people will appreciate a visit to the Morne National Park - mountain treks with wonderful views of the entire archipelago.

Good connection with buses, but some drivers don’t accept transporting big luggage. There are beautiful small beaches. Diving centre near Kempimsky hotel. Friendly local people and tourist with rented car- they offer lift. Small shops with basic food and fruit. Not crowded

This is a really beautiful bay, with Picault beach to the north and Gaulette on the southern end. The swimming and snorkelling are fair if a little shallow in places, particularly on the Picault side and there is reasonable shelter from the sun.

The area doesn't have a huge amount going on, so if you fancy seeing lots of sights and going exploring our shopping, it is quite limited.
If you just want to relax by the pool or sat the beach, then it is fine.
It is very hilly, so if you have difficulty walking or need a wheelchair / pushchair for getting around, you will find it difficult.

The accommodation location best to have a car all the time.
The accommodation location best to have a car all the time. I had planned for car rental for first 2 days only but then realized it’s better to have a car all the time.
Banana plantation leading to the property is very beautiful and the garden looks great too.
