Anse La Mouche bay is a quiet and pleasant place for a beach holiday. However, it is also a suitable "base" for exploring the entire island of Mahé - the island is not too big, so you can easily get to any place of interest from there (for example, by a well-functioning and cheap local bus service - I recommend avoiding taxis if possible, because they are of good quality , but quite expensive). In the immediate vicinity, I recommend visiting the gardens of Kot-Man-Ya and Jardin du Roi, as well as Takamaka beach (beware of strong waves and currents here) and not far from this beach also a remarkable formation called Ros Sodyer, which is a natural rock pool on a cliff above the sea, similar to little Mexican "cenote". It's a breathtaking natural phenomenon, but beware of the quite difficult access route climbing through the jungle and over the cliffs, not suitable for children and the elderly! From more distant destinations, of course, visit the capital Victoria, and more physically fit people will appreciate a visit to the Morne National Park - mountain treks with wonderful views of the entire archipelago.

Good connection with buses, but some drivers don’t accept transporting big luggage. There are beautiful small beaches. Diving centre near Kempimsky hotel. Friendly local people and tourist with rented car- they offer lift. Small shops with basic food and fruit. Not crowded

This is a really beautiful bay, with Picault beach to the north and Gaulette on the southern end. The swimming and snorkelling are fair if a little shallow in places, particularly on the Picault side and there is reasonable shelter from the sun.

The area doesn't have a huge amount going on, so if you fancy seeing lots of sights and going exploring our shopping, it is quite limited. If you just want to relax by the pool or sat the beach, then it is fine. It is very hilly, so if you have difficulty walking or need a wheelchair / pushchair for getting around, you will find it difficult.

The accommodation location best to have a car all the time.

The accommodation location best to have a car all the time. I had planned for car rental for first 2 days only but then realized it’s better to have a car all the time. Banana plantation leading to the property is very beautiful and the garden looks great too.
