My husband and I stayed at Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas for our honeymoon and my birthday for a week from the end of May to early June. We had an amazing experience at the villas, as heavenly as Seychelles itself.
We have to say the villa and the whole team exceeded our expectations - of course, you expect certain things in luxury hotels, but what impressed us the most is how effortless everything is under the care of everyone here, the exact reason why we picked it here.
We want to express our special thanks to our butler Anton, the Director of Operations Anil Kumar, our taxi drivers Pat and Kelvin, and a few more staffs we don’t remember the names of including spa teams, buggy teams, front desks, the ladies who checked in and out for us, restaurant chefs and staffs, beach staffs, taxi drivers, and people who we randomly met at the villas and simply said hi to us. Thank you all for making our experience so special. I wish you all the best and I look forward to staying at Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas again in the future.

Friendly and helpful hosts. Great location as I wanted to have a short distance to the boat jetty. Easy communication with the team in advance for support with transport (airport pickup & drop to jetty). It was my second time and I’d come back happily for the same reasons.

Stunning hotel and a treat for our last night in the Seychelles. We arrived at 11am on our check-in day and were welcomed with cool drinks and towels.
We were able to use all facilities immediately and were checked in by 2pm. After checking out the next morning we were also allowed to use all the facilities until 4pm when we left, meaning we felt like we’d had two full days at the hotel.
We booked a mountain view room and were given an sea view, even better. The room was stunning…
Friendly and professional staff, two beautiful pools, gorgeous food, and a magical spa.
Would visit again in a heartbeat, thank you!

We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival.
We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution.
You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%.

We hired cars for our holiday group and went shopping, sight seeing of Victoria city and the whole Mahe island and out evenings to restaurants and entertainment. We also did the glass bottom boat full day trip and were pleasantly surprised on this trip to meet his Excellency the State President and First Lady of Seychelles also spending relaxing time at the Beach House on one of the islands, where this lovely couple so graciously addressed the visitors to the island and so kindly gave our group from South Africa audience and a photo shoot opportunity that was the highlight of our visit to Seychelles.

Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing beaches (for families, adults and snorkelling), great scuba diving, water activities and excursions, amazing nature trails, good choice of restaurants.
If you want to explore the island car rental (40/50 €/day)is a must as public transport is limited (waiting time can be 30/40 mins - 7SR each ride). If you want to explore the best beaches or plantations/waterfalls/attractions consider a car.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much.
Mahe is great! I loved it so much. Firstly the Ocean for sure, with lots of beaches along the costs. There's plenty of activities to do like snorkeling, diving, surfing, kayaking, hiking, etc. Due to Covid-19 they have some restrictions of course but still you can have a great time there. Restaurants and bars are open until 10 pm, but some of them close earlier to allow their staff to get homes before curfew. Shops, minimarkets close at 7 pm. Wearing of masks is mandatory in public places, and they register your name country and temperature at the entrance in every restaurant, café, shop, etc. to have a track of visitors.
To get around you can either rent a car or use a taxi, public buses are not allowed for tourists now because of COVID-19. Overall the place is very safe. People are super welcoming, helpful, friendly and always smiling. There's a great choice of what to eat depends on your personal taste but most popular is fish and seafood of course.
Just go there, relax by the beach, get some walk around. In Mahe you forget about your everyday problems and routines, you are just enjoying being in the moment.

The hotel has a wonderful garden und our room had a very nice view to the sea. The hotel is well lead by a very friendly person who explained us all about the plants in the garden and places around the island. Breakfast was very good and included fresh fruits from the garden. We can definitely recommend this hotel for a stay at Mahe. You will need a car, though, to get to the most beautiful beaches of Mahe.
Good location, in the middle of the jungle. This part of the island was not our prefered one, but it is just our opinion. However, the hotel is incredible, built in wood and placed in a very quiet place sourrended by the jungle, vith views all around the room and a fantastic balcony. The pool is incredible too and stars must be seen from here at night. We had a lovely stay.
Amazing property with an excellent view and great poolside. Self-catering is really a great way to stay in Seychelles as you can enjoy nice restaurants as well as cook your favorite dishes using local products. Red Coconut has good facilities and awesome, super friendly staff - highly recommended!
Exceptional service, facilities and overall stay. Hotel styling is stunning and has everything you need for a beautiful and relaxing Seychelles stay.
Breakfast is a highlight- beautiful setting, amazing spread and a la carte offering.
