Karlstad is the biggest little city in Sweden and a joy to visit. What other city with <100,000 population even has its own opera house and cathedral? The lakeside setting where Klarälven meets Lake Vänern is gorgeous. The architecture is beautiful and the town is built in a comfortable way so you get to be in many parks and river along with shopping centers and places to eat.
