We messaged twice before arrival to confirm that the booking was 5 people and we need a 2 room and a 3 room. They confirmed that was what we booked.
When we arrived there was only 2 beds in each room so we called the customer service number (it was closed) and sent a message through booking.com but there was no response.
Unfortunately I didn’t think to check the booking.com messages to look for an emergency number, and I don’t speak Swedish to know what “journr” means
The next day we asked for a refund of the difference between a 3 bed room that we paid for, and the 2 bed room that we received. They only offered 150kr back and then stopped replying
Other than that everything was ok and the breakfast was nice, but we were not happy with the staff

This is a hostel rather than a B&B, which wasn’t clear on Booking.com. Nonetheless it was very comfortable and clean. The owner was exceptionally helpful.

Other than the problems at the hotel/castle the town was wonderful - the people were very friendly, especially at the library where we started our journey in finding our past relatives. The Tidalholm museum was amazing and the food everywhere we ate was fantastic! Would highly recommend the area!
