Good choice at breakfast. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. I'm not sure if there is much difference in the rooms and whether I was actually in the type of room I booked. The room was a good size, clean but I didn't like the grids on the windows.

Located at the southern end of Chaweng Beach in a quieter side street, this hostel offers a good balance between accessibility and peace. While the surrounding area shows signs of wear like most side streets in Chaweng, the property itself is well-maintained.
Room Quality
The deluxe private room with window features a traditional Thai-style double bed (quite firm) and a compact bathroom. The room is notably small - two people would struggle to pass each other comfortably. Though basic, everything was impeccably clean. The "balcony" is actually just a window opening to the street, but despite proximity to the main road, noise wasn't an issue at night.
Connectivity
Internet was down for two days during my stay, though this was due to heavy rainfall in the area rather than a fault of the property.
Management
Run by a mother-daughter team who maintain strict standards and adherence to rules. They're friendly and accommodating but extremely particular about their property and policies. The manager demonstrated exceptional hospitality by personally driving me to the airport when my taxi failed to arrive - a level of service that truly stands out.
Additional Services
Motorbike Rental: Available but requires passport deposit and they conduct extremely thorough inspections
Laundry Service: Efficient express service completed within 6 hours at reasonable rates
Value Assessment
Excellent value considering the cleanliness and location. The bathroom layout (shower and toilet in same space) is somewhat cramped but functional.
Recommendation
A solid budget accommodation option in Chaweng for travelers who don't mind firm beds and can respect strict house rules. The location offers a good compromise between beach access and avoiding the worst of Chaweng's noise. Best suited for solo travelers given the room size constraints.

Really great location for Chaweng, right next to many bars and restaurants, but in a quiet back street. Their beach is fantastic. Above all, the sweet lady who runs the place is a true diamond, and all the staff people are lovely. Bonus if you work remotely as they have a work table enough for two.

Chaweng is heaving with tourists, far too many for me.
Chaweng is heaving with tourists, far too many for me. The traffic both cars and motorbikes are gridlocked with traffic fumes when you have are inevitably stationery. This year the number of rental cars have increased hugely and it can take an hour to go a distance when several years ago only took 15 minutes. Even on a motorbike/scooter it takes a long time to get anywhere.
The pavements are very uneven and I imagine difficult if you have a kids pushchair. Impossible for wheelchair users.
Taxi drivers are very dishonest unless you pre book them. There are many disused shops/buildings that have fell into disrepair that give chaweng a forlorn uncared for ambience unless you are in a luxury hotel.

A pleasant town, nice restaurants, markets and shops. Interesting beaches and generally a very interesting place worth staying. We only recommend staying a little out of the center, at least 500m -1 km, if you want a quiet vacation. If you want fun, book in the center.

Chaweng is good for short visits as its close to the airport. the beach is ok busy and lots of tourists. we ate on the beach and on the main street parallel -which had great deals on fish
don't let taxis rip you off always starting at 500thb always barter - we got a taxi to fisherman's village for 300 definitely go there its lovely and has some nice restaurants.
in evenings walk along the beach if you fancy a party they have fire dancers and clubs further into town.
if you want nightlife you will find it - feels a bit like benidorm in parts - avoid if you want relaxation

Chaweng is a central area of Koh Samui where lots of tourists go for their holidays. There’s plenty of food places to eat at, and you can get a nice relaxing Thai massage on the beach. The water is so refreshing after a hot day sunbathing. Lots of locals walk by trying to sell you things from sunglasses to ice creams to inflatable toys, etc.

The actual resort is quite Benidorm like.
The actual resort is quite Benidorm like. Very chavvy, every 10th shop is a cannabis shop which makes it feel very downmarket. Very very busy in evening and very seedy off the main drag if that's your thing.....The pavements were awful, not good for anyone with mobility issues, craters and trip hazards everywhere !! On the upside 100s of good quality restaurants main course £2.50 and quality not seedy massage rooms 1 hour massage £10 or less. Great shopping centre at central Samui just off Chaweng Beach Road. Taxis cheap , 1/3 of UK prices but you have to bargain with drivers. Beer £2 bottle - wine expensive and generally poor. Cocktails cheap.

Unfortunately there are no footpaths to walk safely to and from the hotel to the centre, so you will be reliant on taxis. This is the main shopping centre. There are numerous cafes and bars to choose from.

The location and the villa were amazing, beautiful view and really modern rooms. For whatever problem we had the staff guys helped us (finding transfers from the hotel to wherever at any time during the day and in short notice, organizing amazing tours for us, ecc). A special thanks to Born and to the owner who supported us in really difficult situations. Defenetely the best place to stay for your vacations to Koh Samui!
Phenomenal hotel to stay in the heart of Koh Samui. Just steps from the nightlife but still quiet at night. Beautiful beachside resort with pool and direct beach access. I felt like I was much outside the city. Felt like a sanctuary. Staff went above and beyond to make sure I made my early morning flight, big mistake because this resort is worth every minute.
There is nothing I don't like about this resort. From all staff, breakfast buffet with view of tje beach and the squirrels :) Location, swim up bar with Meen and Hanlay, beach and over all vibe
It's not just Koh Samui I love it is this resort that makes my overall holiday. I will always return.
As this is our first time in Thailand and Koh Samui, we really did not know what to expect. The resort was great. Small enough that there were always chairs available at the pool or on the beach. Nice restaurant, great breakfast oceanside. Staff were great and friendly.
Great place to stay in Koh Samui. Short walk to beach and 7/11. Little bit down the road from the main Chaweng area but means it's a bit quieter. Nice rooftop pool and clean rooms!
