The bike lane is really well made.

The bike lane is really well made. Even for first-time cycles, it is a very easy cycle to cycle next to the river from the walking street to Kaeng Khut Ku. There were several sections where the bike lane stopped abruptly, but it wasn't too hindering. The walking street is where everything is at, buy all the good food and shopping there. The food was good and well-priced. 2 days is about right to do all the main activities: dinner on the cruise during sunset, walk the walking street, see the sunrise at Phu Thok, give alms to monks, and go to Chiang Khan Skywalk. Additional days may be planned to go to neighboring temples but you would need transport. We took the coach from Bangkok, but next time we would fly to Loei then take the shuttle from the airport.

Chiang Khan is a wonderful small town perched on the banks of the Mekong river. The walking market is over a mile long and bursting with an amazing variety of delicious street foods. There are also a number of riverfront restaurants that are very good.

A beautiful town with charming wooden buildings, beautiful temples and a promenade on the Mekong River - perfect for walks and getting to know the local cuisine. We were there during the rainy season and even though it was a Friday evening there were few people, it was quiet and peaceful. A perfect time to rest and take a walk along the river - I recommend it.

This is a small old town that you can entertain the experience of local life style and particular foods. Compared to many others the number and quality of good restaurant are quite exceptionally high. The main street and walking street are parallel to Maekhong River and it is quite easy to find a good cafe to sip any drinks and enjoying the river view. The night walking street is 2 km long and has plenty of shops and street food. Nearby there is several small tourist attractions including small mountains, river banks and even a skywalk. There are plenty of old small temples around. The town is small, so it is better to avoid long weekend.

This has been one of the best hotel experiences in Thailand. The family who run this hotel are very kind and paid attention to every details. They brought us fruits and were very helpful in case we needed anything. The facility is clean and they cleaned every day. The location is good because close to the walking street and the river. I recommend this hotel to everyone 😊

Great location as it is very near Chiang Khan night walking street. The property is very near the river Maekong. You can walk to shops and restaurants. There is a small car park (drive) at the property. This should be okay to park 3 or 4 cars.
