We had a great stay at Diamond Park Inn. The Check In process was very efficient and staff was super helpful and friendly. Our room was nice and clean. We loved spending time at the pool, which was well maintained. Personally I would have wished for a bigger variety of fresh fruits at the breakfast buffet. 7-Eleven is in 3 minute walking distance which was nice!

Our stay here had the essentials in the room in which you need. It was located a short walk from the blue temple. Lots of parking for motorbikes round the side. The room was spacious and tidy, as well as the bathroom. The room was okay for the price we paid.

    We loved stating at Nakaraj Princess hotel. The location was a few minutes walk from the Saturday night market. Rooms were spacious and the staff were amazing. We had a wonderful time and we were able to experience the local culture. The lady running the front desk went above and beyond and was delightful!

    blue and white temple are super nice. the city is not that spectacular - i liked Chiang Mai (more crowded and more "city-like" with a lot of malls and outside markets) and Pai (nice walking street wih a lot of food trucks, very touristic!) more. Though Chiang Rai definitely has some gems for a visit. Also the night market is really nice with an excellent and cheap local food court. I havent been to the golden triangle in the north, might be worth a visit too...

    White and blue temples are a MUST see.

    White and blue temples are a MUST see. Huge and VERY busy Saturday night market. Sleazy area near the clocktower with all the bars. Great outdoor food court next to the bus stop. There are a few other places worth seeing close to Chiang Rai if you got your own transport (Wat Phuttha Utthayan Doi Insi Temple, Black House) 2 Days, March 2025

    The Saturday night market was fascinating and there was enough to see generally. A must see is the White Temple and be sure to pay an additional 50 baht to enter the cave. We also went to the Golden Triangle and visited an opium museum both of which are definitely worth doing with an experienced tour company.

    Chiang Rai is a good place to visit, not so much the city itself which doesn't have a lot to offer other than the usual temples. The highlights like Karen villages, Elephant experience and Golden triangle are well out of town

    Having lived in Northern Thailand for many years, I like an occasional night out in Chiang Rai but don't go for the sightseeing. The city has a small compact central tourist area with bars, restaurants and the night bazaar. Unlike Chiang Mai, which is rapidly becoming another Bangkok, Chiang Rai still retains some rustic, old time atmosphere that makes it appealing.

    Location of the hotel is quite central and within walking distance to the Chiang Rai Bus Terminal 1 and Shared Drives area. It's also very close to town and Night Bazaar is within walking distance as well. The room stay was comfy and cleanliness was maintained well. The staff were approachable and friendly and the WiFi connection was speedy and good.

    The room was nicely decorated and clean, and the hotel had great communal areas and a pool too (although we didn't have time to use them). There was a great choice for breakfast, and the staff were all very courteous. The location is a little out of town, but nice and quiet, and cheap to get to via Grab.

    Although the hotel does not have in-house restaurants, we actually got a nice good breakfast every morning! On the house! The location of this hotel is very convenient, walk 5 mins to the city for more restaurants, shopping and attractions. Yet, it is quiet where the hotel is.
