What truly stood out to me was how fresh and new the room felt—the walls were still bright white, and there was a clean, inviting smell throughout. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room super cold, which I appreciated. As a light sleeper, I was thrilled that the curtains effectively blocked out sunlight, ensuring a restful sleep. Overall, this is an excellent choice for a budget-friendly yet comfortable stay

    Perfect location to explore the city of Lampang. The hotel staff was very friendly and the place is comfortable and charming. We were able to walk in the city to get dinner.

    We weren't there long but it's a beautiful walking town. Not a lot to do although I hear they have a very good night market but it is just on the weekends so plan your stay around it. Otherwise it's a quiet town with not too much to do except relax.

    Lampang is a charming town with just enough to do for a few...

    Lampang is a charming town with just enough to do for a few days to feel both relaxing and fulfilling. The river, historic bridges, wats, old town, architecture, and food were all draws. Lots of murals and symbols (chickens, horses), a very quiet pace, and friendly people. The things to see are very accessible on foot, but a unique way to see the city is to hire a horse carriage for an hour (about 500 baht). Some of the cafes and restaurants near the river are great quality and have super atmosphere. It is a city to stroll around and explore, enjoying the relaxed pace and sights. It's especially good for a getaway from busy Chiang Mai for a weekend.

    Visitors should know that there are 2 Hop Inn hotels in Lampong and close together. 1 is near the city hospital and the other is near the bus station. If you call the number they provide you get a central dispatcher somewhere unknown and you have to know which hotel you made your reservation at. So how would you know? Attractions not far away are river front bar and restaurants The central festival mall is close by. Bolt and Grab are available

    The best feature is the old town close to the Arts Center...

    The best feature is the old town close to the Arts Center with many original wooden houses. The street market is low key, not overtly touristy and showed some local crafts alongside the usual Chiang Mia stuff. The riverside bars and restaurants have good views but the river itself is a disappointment. This ancient city also has many temples.

    The Ceramics factories were interesting as were the temples in the city. Then there is the old city wall, railway station , and museum to visit . And a very old house . Best to hire a car. Public transport not so good.

    Other than Kad Kong Ta Walking Street (Saturday & Sunday...

    Other than Kad Kong Ta Walking Street (Saturday & Sunday only), several Wats / Temples and a couple museums there didn’t seem to be a lot to see in town. The better attractions seemed to be 30 minutes or more outside of town. We enjoyed eating at "Which Wat Pastry", it's a bit out of the way but has great food and pastries at very reasonable prices. Almost next door to Which Wat is "Grandma's Cafe", we didn't eat there but enjoyed viewing the owner's car collection directly behind the cafe. If you don't have your own transportation and don't want to do an organized tour hiring a taxi for the day at 1000 baht is a good idea. Be careful of the songthaews, we discovered they don't always know where you want to go even though they tell you they do.

    The location of the hotel was central to most locations we wanted to head to or visit. It was all within walking distance. The hotel staff was helpful and they also provided fresh bottles of water daily during our stay. The hotel comes equipped with a lift/elevator which was very useful as we had quite a few bags to carry up and down. That was an automatic relief for us as we had senior citizens travelling with us. The stay was definitely value adding for the money.

    Hotel is located centrally, in a quiet area on a small alley just off the clocktower roundabout. The mamager was very helpful giving a lot of information about the local area. Good bed and pillows.
