Always hard to say what things would be like if it wasn’t Ramadan. For a budget hotel, this one was pretty good—excellent location on the edge of the medina, next to the harbor, close to the train station and shops. Mapping software (including Booking.com) initially showed me two very different locations—it’s on the north side of the medina, a short walk from the train station. I found a pickpocket (or he found me), and almost lost my phone, so exercise normal precautions on the street. Staff can show you a good Tunisian restaurant close by, and there are several ATMs and one good supermarket also nearby. Room was fine, though small with a somewhat wonky window for ventilation, up a total of two flights of stairs. Large outdoor space which I didn’t make any use of. I’d add that transport schedules I found online were largely incorrect, so check at train or bus stations before committing.
Near Port El Kantaoui, this hotel is at the entrance of the town of Sousse. It is on a 10-hectare park, and faces the seaside. It offers an indoor and outdoor pool.

The rooms were impeccably clean, well-maintained, and provided a high level of comfort. It was evident that great attention is given to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
The food was outstanding—delicious, diverse, and of top-notch quality. Every meal was a delight, with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes.
The hotel’s location is simply breathtaking. Situated right by the sea, it offers stunning views and a refreshing, pure breeze that enhances the relaxing atmosphere. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or an evening walk, the coastal setting adds an unforgettable charm to the experience.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

The staff's behavior was kind and friendly. The cleanliness of the rooms was 10 out of 10.
However, the dining hall was very crowded.
The after-dinner shows were held in a different environment, but they could have been better.
Overall, it was a good stay. I traveled alone and spent Eid al-Fitr here.

Sousse is okay the Medina Market is large, walled like a castle, everything seemed to close early in February people friendly safe, trains and metro available, 4 days was enough or go all inclusive in the middle of nowhere ,bit like Morrocco but more touristy there were bars

2 to 3 days is enough.
2 to 3 days is enough. The constant scammers are quite annoying. Taxi's are cheap but insist it is a meter journey and sit in the front to see the fare. Cafes are good but check your menu vs bill. Local places are better than touristy places. Not so nice looking but a better more genuine experience.

We really liked the historic part of town - the Ribat is beautiful (with a great guide!). The archaeology museum is definitely worth a visit. The souk was an enjoyable pace and you didn't feel hassled. The restaurants were good. Taxis were cheap and easy to find.
City could do with a big clean up and shows clear signs of suffering financially, but that didn't take away from our trip.

I found Sousse to be a great place to visit if you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. I was pleased to discover that the local people were friendly and welcoming, which made my trip more enjoyable and memorable.
One of the highlights of my trip was having a hire car, which allowed me to explore the surrounding areas and discover hidden gems such as the castle. It was fascinating to learn that the castle was the location for the popular movie Monty Python's Life of Brian. This made my trip even more exciting and memorable.
However, it's worth noting that if you're looking for a bustling city with lots of activities to do and places to see, Sousse may not be the best choice. From my experience, Sousse is more of a laid-back destination where you can unwind and relax.
Overall, I had a positive experience visiting Sousse and enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas. Thank you for taking the time to read my review!

Staying at Dar Lekbira far exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the medina. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating—when I needed to check out early to catch my flight, they kindly provided breakfast ahead of the usual hours (around 5 a.m). The Tunisian identity and character are beautifully reflected in every detail of the place, creating an authentic and immersive experience.
The Stuff was amazing
Especially Fredj , Cool man he is always smiling and he tries to help you all the time. Great man !
The pool was nice
the room was clean
I like this hotel alot one of the best hotels in Tunisia.
and also I like the 24/24 bar in the lobby !
I highly recommend this hotel and I will comeback next year for sure
The architecture of the property is out of this world. genuinely so beautiful.
The food was also very nice (we only had breakfast included). Some very traditional Tunisian dishes served every day along with some basics.
The staff all treat you like royalty. no task is too small for them.
We are from Barcelona and decided to visit Tunisia in November. While apartment availability was limited, this one matched the photos perfectly: practical, clean, well-equipped, and, most importantly, Safouen was always available whenever we needed him.
Rate Sousse Palace Hotel & Spa: Excellent stay! The staff was very helpful, making our experience even better. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
