Well located in the Fatih district of Sultanahmet, Fidelya Boutique Hotel is located 1.1 km from Blue Mosque, 1.3 km from Hagia Sophia and 1.2 km from Basilica Cistern.

The hotel is well located, close to the Blue Mosque and within walking distance of all of the attractions in Sultanahmet. There is a nice park adjacent to it and some good restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is cosy and comfortable and the room was well-equipped with space for a family of 5 and a good kitchenette.

Having Safe Hotels Executive Level Certificate for 2016 - 2017, Swissotel The Bosphorus Istanbul offers five-star luxury accommodation with its exclusive rooftop pool and award-winning spa.

This was my third stay at the hotel and I love the view of the Bosphorus from my room every time I stay there. The same is with the lobby.

Offering an indoor pool, a restaurant and bar and a spa and wellness centre in a stylish modern decor, Dosso Dossi Hotels Downtown is located on Vatan Avenue in Fatih.

Location: The location is the hotel’s biggest advantage. It’s very strategic — the metro and bus stop are right opposite the hotel, and the tram stop is about a 9-minute walk away, making it very convenient for exploring Istanbul. Hotel Rating vs Reality: Although the hotel is rated as a 5-star property, it certainly did not give a five-star experience. Based on my stay, I would rate it more as a 3-star hotel. Reception and Customer Service: Unfortunately, the reception staff were quite rude. On arrival, I was told, "We are busy, sit there and wait!" — not exactly a warm welcome after a long journey. There was no welcome drink or any effort to make guests feel valued, including from the customer service desk staff. Breakfast Experience: Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. It felt more like a hostel setup rather than a five-star hotel. There were no waiters attending to guests for tea, coffee, or general service. I ended up having breakfast only twice during my seven-day stay. Crisis Management: During my stay, Istanbul experienced a 6.2 magnitude earthquake. Sadly, there was no communication, guidance, or reassurance from the hotel management. Guests stood outside the hotel without any information or support from staff — a very poor response, especially in such a serious situation. Room Quality: The rooms were clean, but I had to request a change of beddings because the sheets were worn out. The towels were also quite old. Unprofessional Follow-up: What’s even more disappointing is what happened after our stay. A staff member from the hotel reached out to me via WhatsApp after seeing my review and persistently pressured me to change it. his behavior was highly inappropriate and unprofessional, and instead of showing concern or accountability, they were in complete denial of the issues I raised. Harassing a guest for leaving an honest review only further confirms the lack of professionalism I experienced during the stay.
