Kampala is a dynamic and vibrant city that offers a perfect blend of modern amenities and rich culture. The city is full of energy, with friendly locals, bustling markets, and a lively nightlife. There’s plenty to explore, from historical landmarks to scenic spots like Lake Victoria. The food scene is diverse, with local Ugandan dishes as well as international options available. The city is also well-connected, making it easy to navigate for business and leisure travelers.
Traffic can be quite challenging, especially during peak hours, and the roads can be crowded. Also, while Kampala is growing rapidly, some areas still have limited infrastructure, which can be frustrating at times.

Traffic in Kampala is a nightmare.
Traffic in Kampala is a nightmare. If I didn't have a dental appointment, I'd prefer to stay in Entebbe. I go to Kampala for some shopping,, or medical needs, but for holiday other places are nicer to go to see sites and be more relaxed.

Noisy, roads full of noisy traffic. Many hold-ups. Never went near the centre. After 30+ years of visiting it has never appealed to me as a city worth visiting. An experience if you are visiting for the first time. But then neither have Nairobi, Accra, Lagos, etc.

Vibrant, interestingly chaotic, very good food, pleasant people (majorly), beautiful views from almost everywhere, best climate in the world. The bike rides are 'exciting' but would not use them frequently because of the dangerous driving and chaos on the roads. Make sure to visit Izumi, Four Points, Stone Haven, Dynasty, La Cabana, Sign Cuisine for some very good food/dining. Great views from almost all locations but make sure to visit Pangolin Nest, Kamapala Forest Resort & Horus for absolutely amazing city views.

Kampala is a very friendly city, the people are warm and welcoming, the city centre was bustling with life. everyone should try the matooke, gnut sauce and fish. The bodaboda (motorcycle cyclists) make it easy to move around Kampala conveniently. There are so many places to visit from the Bhai temple, to the Mengo palace near the CBD, to Namirembe & Lubaga Cathedrals, Gadaffi Mosque

Nice hotel, very conveniently located in busy Kampala and with very friendly staff. I was not happy with my room when I arrived late at night, but the staff was very forthcoming and changed the room right away. Breakfast was good, and the Asian Fusion Restaurant serves great food. The pool is clean and big enough to have a nice swim early in the morning. I would always come back.
My third time in Kampala and this time in this hotel. I was absolutely thrilled. I spent 5 nights there. The staff is super friendly. Everything is clean and the breakfast buffet has everything you could wish for.
The rooftop bar is just brilliant and highly recommended. The view over Kampala is a dream. Plus a delicious drink and great food. That's all you need.
Location very central to everything in Kampala. Customer Service was amazing. Any issues with the room, was resolved immediately. Rooftop Bar with views overlooking the city is very good. Plenty of places in the hotel for checking emails and hosting guests for meetings.
The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and spacious. My one regret is that we didn't find this hotel in Kampala sooner and could only stay one night.
