When driving into town and seeing the hotel from a distance, I was very weary. Once inside, I was totally surprised. Our room and common area were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Kitchen was well stocked.

Manager, Evva, was wonderful. Keep her!!! Our room, the Honeymoon Suite, was two original rooms combined. It had a comfortable seating area and a king sized bed that was very comfortable. It also had a 1920's Edison victrola with records! So fun to use. Evva stocked the fire-pit for us and we made a bonfire in the evening, which was terrific.

I liked the scenery and accessibility to some of the more beautiful hikes in the state. Mt Greylock was a challenge yet making it to the summit is both physically and visually rewarding. Mass MoCA is a stones throw away as well and equally as impressive if you are into contemporary art.
