Old style lodge. The history depicted in the photos and memorabilia on the walls was interesting. It's like a mini museum for Aspen history. The proprietor was extremely helpful and friendly.
Snacks and round the clock coffee etc available free in the office.

Manager let us change our original room. We were above trash truck, gardener, delivery area, constant noise all hours of nite and day. Room we got after that nightmare was terrific. Very clean, spacious and above all…peaceful. Manager also sent up and bottle of champagne, a card and chocolate strawberries for our anniversary. That was extremely kind of him. He was great to work with and made things right. Lived how they picked us up and dropped us from airport. Overall the employees were all great.

Aspen is a playground of the rich and corporate interests of all sorts. Quite unpleasant for many reasons. The workers who make it work stream out of the city at 5:00 because they obviously can not live in the place where they work. One more American disgrace. Almost worse than that other travesty, Santa Fe.

As an Aspen visitor for many years, I am disappointed with the high-value construction that has removed much of the city’s charm. The setting is as beautiful as ever with its exceptional hiking opportunities.

Great place to visit. Very walkable place.
Great place to visit. Very walkable place.
We drove from Denver to Aspen; beautiful drive but the last hour or so, should be done during daylight hours as the road gets very narrow, with very close and dangerous curves.
If possible, fly directly into Aspen.

The town is wonderful but much different than our first trip fifty years ago and all of it is not for the best either but it’s still a great town but bring you money as it’s very expensive. It’s to bad we couldn’t get access to go to Maroon Bells as that was where we went on our honeymoon and we would have liked to visit it again.

Aspen was absolutely beautiful. 100% worth going.
Aspen was absolutely beautiful. 100% worth going. Everything is very clean. All the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. The town provides bus service to several places for free which is great. They also provide a free taxi service that travels inside the city for free. Makes it awesome for your short trips so you aren't constantly having to deal with parking or trying to GPS everywhere with the amount of pedestrians. The gondola was an amazing adventure also. EVERYTHING in town is very pricey so be prepared for some expensive meal tickets.

I visited Aspen with my family over the Christmas holiday and the town was just magical. The friendly and helpful nature of the people in this little town made us feel at home. Ski lessons at Buttermilk was the highlight of our trip. The mountain was beautiful and our instructor was awesome. Getting around town was easy and the bus rides were surprisingly free.

Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Very good location. The rooms are quite small and because it is Aspen it is more expensive than elsewhere. But I would recommend the accommodation to anyone who wants to visit Aspen.
Beautiful location and hotel. We enjoyed the sauna in the morning before our breakfast. A lot healthy choices. Not much for gluten free. But the staff put something together for me. Would definitely stay again!
