Located 19 minutes’ drive from the Baltimore city center, this La Quinta is 9 miles from John Hopkins University and Baltimore Museum of Art. There is free Wi-Fi and a continental breakfast.

The elevators were not working and we were not notified when we booked nor in any communication sent before the trip. First floor rooms were offered but since they are pet-friendly, they smelled. We had to walk 4 flights of stairs. If we had known this, we would not have booked here.

The staff was very courteous and prompt to take care of anything we needed. The location of the hotel was in a very convenient location. We were a short distance from the Inner Harbor, the bus stop was right across the street, and the subway station was right around the corner. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.

FAQs about hotels in Baltimore

Historic & Vibrant Harbor Town

Energetic and complex, Baltimore belongs to the select group of historic cities along the east coast of the United States. Located between Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, it’s the birthplace of the National Anthem. It has a lively nightlife, picturesque neighbourhoods, and modern entertainment areas. Its large number of African American population had an important role during the days of the Civil Rights movements.

Founded in 1729, its strategic location in an arm of the Chesapeake Bay rapidly transformed it into an important trading port. The historical site of Fort McHenry is well known for its role during the War of 1812 with the British Empire.

The city has numerous neighbourhoods that still maintain a quaint atmosphere. Fells Point is famous for its 18th and 19th-century architecture, cobbled streets, typical pubs, and plenty of restaurants. Some of the best inns and hotels in Baltimore are located here, while a more local feeling and great accommodation can also be found in Federal Hill and Midtown.

The Inner Harbor is a lively area where tourists can find modern venues and live concerts. Most Baltimore hotels are located in the Harbor, while the business district has also a wide variety of accommodation.

Was going there for a family funeral, so always unfortunate circumstances but otherwise the trip could not have gone better: we got to the National Aquarium, as well as Ft. McHenry in addition to fulfilling our family obligations. We enjoyed a wonderful family-run cafe in nearby Greektown, and had a great lunch in a tavern in gentrifying Locust Point on what happened to be opening day for the Orioles.

We went to the Maryland Science Center and had an amazing time! There was so much for the kids to enjoy, with the IMAX theater, planetarium, and live science demonstrations. The exhibits were entirely interactive and educational. This science center was the best! We also went to the National Aquarium, which was also fun and educational. Our favorite part was the Rain Forest area at the top, where we saw sloths and beautiful birds. We also had fun walking along the piers, enjoying the beautiful harbor. This was quite an exciting, wonderful trip for our family.

    A surprisingly pleasant city!

A surprisingly pleasant city! Ostensibly not much to do or see, but Fell's Point and the port district are full of life, great food, music and culture! St. Patrick's parade is definitely worth attending. Loved Walters Museum and Boston Museum of Art, Poe's house is also worth a tour. Great sea food can be found in many, many restaurants and bars lining the coastline.

It rained during my stay so walking around to the historical sites wasn't as fun as usual but I still was able to enjoy the city. Baltimore has an excellent food and arts scene that I always enjoy. Getting around by Uber is easy but you can walk or bike easily if weather permits also. For this particular trip I opted to rent a vehicle which was simple enough bc of my downtown location.

Baltimore is an interesting city near Washington and has a wonderful Inner Harbor area were you can take a walk or a jogging trip. From Wednesday to Sunday you can visit the top of the World Trade Center and have beautiful view and read about this city’s history. The akvarium is amazing and a good place also to visit with children. We were positively surprised about Baltimore. But in the evenings it is not recommended to walk in the city but to take a taxi or have a car.
