This hotel is well maintained and we continue to return every year for our trip to Big Sky! The shuttle is a perfect option for getting to the mountain. Breakfast is great and the hot tub is an added bonus! We also enjoy the very convenient location right in town!

This slope-side ski accommodations is less than 5 minutes' walk from the mountain village and several ski slopes. Spacious apartments feature full kitchens for convenience.

Great location and very quiet room location - room 1969 at the end of the hall. Terrific breakfast, but short staff met to arise earlier to beat the holiday crowds. Everything worked in the room and having two bathrooms was a luxury with the kids. And having a full kitchen meant cooking healthy meals at the end of the long ski day. Shoshone is a bit dated, but the value is great and the staff is attentive. Early checkin was very appreciated and the valets were super helpful. Also, gym was a nice touch with towel service and working equipment. Lastly, the ski valet was AWESOME!

With a rustic but elegant aesthetic, Rainbow Ranch Lodge is located directly on the Gallatin River, with an incredible backdrop of the Rocky Mountains and Gallatin National Forest.

The property is really pretty. Our room was upgraded to a King Suite and it was huge! Breakfast was good.

On a previous visit we thought the ski-ing to be great, however, this time the snow was not as good. Things could be improved by better grooming of the runs and by adding some more lifts. The queues this time were the worst we've seen in USA. The cost of lift tickets is high considering the previous paragraph. The resort itself has not improved since our last visit when we thought it not good. Few restaurants, lots of snack eateries.

Big Sky is an fantastic ski area with terrain for all abilities. Views are amazing. We were there on a weekend and did not encounter too much of an issue with lift lines, etc. We found staying right at the base was the reason our experience was so great. We easily walked to lifts and restaurants, etc. Off base would have been frustrating. Shuttle lines were very long and traffic to and from the Resort via car was heavy. Highly recommend the Yurt Dinner experience. Expensive but very unique and lots of fun.

The view from our room on the fourth floor facing the mountain was spectacular. The room was very clean and provided all the needed amenities. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend The Lodge at Bug Sky to family and friends and this would be our first choice on a return trip to the area.

The ski resort has a lot of good terrain and great staff.

The ski resort has a lot of good terrain and great staff. However, the snow wasn’t good this year for skiing. We recommend skiers go later in the season. Also, there isn’t much of a village at the resort itself, and it’s a 5 mile drive to get to the town center that has additional shops/restaurants.

    The hotel management was unresponsive.

The hotel management was unresponsive. My husband had Covid and we were unable to travel on the reservation dates, I booked through booking.com, they were awesome! But the hotel would not change or refund my reservations, even after bookings.com offered to wave any charges or commissions. Two calls were placed to the general manager with no return phone call… complete disregard for my situation.

Spaced between Bozeman and Western Gate to Yellowstone.

Spaced between Bozeman and Western Gate to Yellowstone. Have to have a car but the location lets you get to Yellowstone in about 1 1/2 hours and Bozeman Museum of the Rockies in about 40 minutes. On HWY 191 which is at intersection to Big Sky main day trips easy.
