Less than 2 miles away from Mall of America, this hotel is located in Bloomington and offers a 24-hour on-site restaurant, complimentary daily breakfast and free WiFi.

Not as clean as I’d like. The towels had long dark hairs on them. The shower was visibly dirty. The bathroom light/fan sounded like a motorcycle. The toilet ran every 10 minutes. Breakfast didn’t have decaf coffee, eggs, or meat. Only one type of milk and one type of fruit. And there were pee soaked sheets outside my room from my neighbors kids for more than a day. And to top it all off, maintenance was knocking on my door at 10:20 when checkout isn’t until 11.

We had dessert at Snuffy's Malt Shop (Triple D-Food Network), visited Mall of America. Highly recommend Nickelodeon Universe and Crayola Experience for families. Would suggest two days there. One for the amusement park and another for shopping. There is also an Outlet Mall in Eagan, not far from Bloomington. We also ate at Junior's Diner in Eagan. Highways were a little confusing due to construction. If you are a huge coffee fan (like myself), they offer Caribou and Starbs. We really enjoyed the Timberwolves NBA game. Our family had a great time for our MN visit.

Bloomington hotels are in the airport area, most have shuttles, are very nice, but reasonable. The Mall of America is a big draw, built for shopping, but also an amusement park, theater, Lego display, etc, for an indoor hangout in wintry Minnesota! Trains connect this area to downtown and more. The beautiful valley where the Minnesota River flows into the Mississippi gives options for nice drives, or walks in MN Valley Wildlife Refuge, at the east end of American Blvd, by the Hilton. Old Fort Snelling has activities, museum. Lots of eating in this area, including the Mandarin Kitchen which actually has dim sum on weekends!!!

I was there to visit my daughter who lives in Minneapolis. Bloomington is just shopping - IKEA and a huge mall. Minneapolis is a vibrant city with museums, restaurants and much to visit. The lakes right in the city are swimmable in summer.

I personally like that Minneapolis has a very good transit system. I no longer rent cars when I come to town. An All Day Pass is all I need to get around. Plus I see things and places I would not see, if I was driving myself. The Metro Trip Planner is a great tool and the Transit Buses and Light Rail run very close to the times posted. Most routes are on 15 to 30 minutes intervals. You have to be careful of rush hour and weekend routes, Some run less frequent or not at all. There are many sites to see, things to do and places to go. If you can think of it, it's likely available. They even have Ax Throwing at the Mall of America. Ball Games, Parks, Mistic Lake and Prince's Museum, Why did I leave, LOL. It's your turn, now. I forgot to mention the food.

I grew up there and it's improved since I last moved from there. I was good to be home again. La Quinta is a nice hotel but there are few things they need to improve on. the parking area needs to be redone, too many potholes. the rooms are nice, but the breakfast service left alo to be desired, they needed more staff. The staff that was there was very nice but what staff they did not have made our stay less enjoyable

Bloomington is a great place to overnight, with many hotels from which to choose, Except when there is some event, such as sports or weather event, that rapidly consume last minute room reservations. As for access to restaurants, shopping, events, etc. Bloomington is car-centric so be prepared to either rent a car, cab, or Uber or schedule the courtesy van.

To be honest I paid 150.00 for 2 beds...no microwave and the bathroom double doors weren't able to lock. If people pay 150.00 there should be complimentary breakfasts or ateast a continental breakfast. I stayed at a small hotel in Wisconsin and they had 50 rooms but there was a indoor swimming pool a quiet bar and the rate was only 80.00. The parking lot was cozy unlike your parking lot that screams don't park here. The roads leading there were full of potholes and charging an extra 100.00 for security deposit is a turn off.

Other than location being closed to the Mall of America, the airport shuttle service is a plus. One of the biggest reasons we stay at this hotel everytime we are in town. Breakfast is plentiful too.
