Buxton is a comfortable little town.
Buxton is a comfortable little town. Plenty of options for ice cream, and seafood. Not a lot for entertainment. Cape Hatteras Island is not fancy, and you will not enjoy if your hoping for beaches like Myrtle Beach. There are no boardwalks, or amusement parks. The Cape is rich in history. I love the convenience of everything!
I love the convenience of everything! This place is what I call REALLY being at the beach! I have been to many beaches and this is my favorite in NC! I just can’t wait to come back! Definitely check out the Lighthouse with the beach access there. Eat at Fatty’s for breakfast, drinks and apps at Lighthouse Sportsbar, dinner at Diamond Shoals! Shop at Dillon’s Corner-such a lovely store! The dunes and beach is so beautiful! If you don’t like a big crowd or a bunch of frills you will love it there!Guest review byAnonymous
