Bed was very comfortable. Lots of hot water and soft towels in bath. Breakfast items variety were more than expected and good. However, the texture of the scrambled eggs was weird.

We had to use the pull out couch and it was stained with body fluids. We didn’t discover it until around 10 pm, too late to switch rooms so we covered it up quickly so our granddaughter wouldn’t see it. That is something that never should have been. On the other hand hand our king size bed was very comfortable

Showed up to check in and no one at the desk for a long time. Rang bell and called. Finally asked the restaurant staff if they knew and they went and found the person. Got in room and old soap was still in bathroom and no other soap plus no toilet paper and no towels. Tried to call downstairs and no answer. Went down and was behind two women who had been waiting a long time to be checked in. Same guy- couldn’t be found. Restaurant staff also had a hard time finding him. Cannot believe that the room was not prepared. Heard from a few other people who had similar problems or is it General dirty room

This is a small town that had plenty of stores that met our needs. We were just there for 1 night on our way home. We had a pizza delivered from a local establishment and it was great! It was recommended by the concierge. I would stay here again for sure!

While recently staying at Best Western Carlisle, I was woken at 11:30ish PM by a knock on my door and someone stating they were delivering a Pizza. I did not order any Pizza, got dressed and went to the front desk to complain to Quin. I asked if he had been at his station for the last 20 minutes or so (I recorded our conversation) because I just had someone knocking on my door to deliver a Pizza. I did not get a strait answer!?!?
After loosing a nights sleep, I left the next morning. I've emailed the General Manager, Mr. Rathod, TWICE regarding a refund and have heard nothing regarding a serious breech of Front Desk Security that ruined my stay and attempt to get some rest in the middle of a trip.
I encourage "you" to provide the reasoned request for a refund of the stay to compensate for the middle of the night problem I experienced while staying at your hotel. You can bet that this will not enhance your hotel's reputation. I will continue to caution friends about my sleepless experience till you address the problem discussed. Dr. M

Carlisle is a great stop in Central Pennsylvania.
Carlisle is a great stop in Central Pennsylvania. It is home to the U. S. Army War College and Heritage Museum, and Dickinson College. The downtown maintains the small-town spirit with small stores, bistros, and brewpubs. Larger national stores are available a short distance from downtown.

We were there for Dickinson College commencement.
We were there for Dickinson College commencement. The downtown area is walkable and has many good restaurants and shops. It's a small, interesting city. Loved Helena's for the crepes and coffee, Molly Pitcher Brewing Company for the beer and pub grub, and One13 Social for our celebration dinner. We also went to the Carlisle Sports Emporium and played both mini-golf courses. Both are good and a fun time. They have a great outdoor go kart track, large arcade, laser tag, and other activities that we did not try. Very short drive to some good hiking, including a section of the AT. Locals went out of their way to stop us from paying for parking because the meters are being replaced and you don't need to right now. No signage, so I appreciated the help!

The staff and building were awful.
The staff and building were awful. They couldn't find our reservation. Even with our confirmation number they couldn't find the reservation. It took 20 minutes. to find the manager who was MIA. As soon as the manager showed up suddenly our reservation appeared. The door to our room was so old and damaged it nearly fell off. The coffee machine in our room leaked. The breakfast was horrible. 15 minutes after they opened the breakfast they were out of coffee and eggs. The trash cans in the breakfast room were overflowing and there was no one manning the room. I had to go to the front desk and ask them to come attend the breakfast. A woman was able to find more coffee and eggs, but just walked past the trash. There is evidence of overlooked or differed maintenance everywhere. I will never stay there again or book a room through booking.com . This is the second time I've had problems with Booking.com

The home of the wonderful Dickinson College (the main reason we go so often). Charming Carlisle has enough shops, restaurants and pubs to fill a long weekend or a short stay en route to somewhere else. The large 3 story antique mall on Hanover street is worth a visit. If you like English Ales, craft beers and pub food try the Market Cross (also on Hanover). For history buffs the town is of some historical interest as being the site of the most northerly advance of the Confederate Army (1863) and the site of the Carlisle Indian School. Could serve as alternative place to stay if visiting Gettysburg PA. as its a short distance to Gettysburg ( apprx. 30 minutes), less touristy and close to the US Army College. Many car shows, parades and festivals scattered through the year. Fun, lively, little city.
