Location was nice and quiet. Loved the lake behind the hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Downsides are no free breakfast and my check in was supposed to be at 3:00 and we weren’t able to get in until 5:00.

Charlottesville has beautiful weather, architecture,...
Charlottesville has beautiful weather, architecture, landscapes, and history all set against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is home to our nation's third President, Thomas Jefferson, who resided upon a mountaintop at Monticello. It is also most known for the University of Virginia which Mr. Jefferson designed and built as an academical village. It is my alma mater and I bask in memories of its beauty, beautiful lawns and gardens, and its equestrian focus, including Foxfield steeple chases.

If you've never been to Charlottesville, be prepared for problematic navigation of the streets when traveling by car, especially if you're unfamiliar with the geography of the area. The hotel may be on Main Street, but that address needs to taken with a grain of salt w/respect to restaurants, shops, bars, etc. How about providing travelers with ideas about where to shop, get spa treatments, coffee bars, and restaurants? Lastly, don't forget that Charlottesville is a university town filled with students of all ages.

Loved seeing Montecello.
Loved seeing Montecello. Glad we did the Behind the Scenes Tour and the Slavery Tour. Both tour guides were excellent. We also took a short trip over to see part of UVA which is beautiful. We had dinner one night at the Local Restaurant (Local is the name of the restaurant) which was excellent. We also took a walk through Market Street downtown. It was find during late afternoon, but not a lot to see and do.

We were visiting family at their beautiful home in Charlottesville. We had food from some of the finest home cooking restaurants. From breakfast to dinner, everything was delicious. Charlottesville is a beautiful city. We had plan to go to an apple orchid, but the grounds were too wet. There are so many things to see and do here.

I've been going to Charlottesville several times a year for many years now (have family in area) and still found an Aboriginal Art Museum which has been there for 35 years (only one in US) that I just found out about, and we were able to visit. Free entrance with guided tour convenient to Martha Jefferson Hospital area just off of I-64.

I love the city, but my daughter lives here, so I always like to visit.
There is a myriad of things to do in the area:
Monticello
Downtown Historic Mall with lots of music
University of VA
Wine-tasting at a variety of vineyards
Shenandoah National Park

NEW. CLEAN. AMAZZZZING! It was so fresh and the lobby was so amazing and cozy and they had a cute room you could chill in. A real nice vibe, staff was super friendly. However it’s pet friendly and there was a dog staying across the room from ours which wouldn’t stop barking so that was annoying.
Nice hotel. Great breakfast. Spacious room. Everything is clean, even the filter in the air conditioner! Comfortable shower! We stayed on the way to Washington. Very convenient. We visited a local landmark not far away, interestingly the estate of the second president Thomas Jefferson.
This hotel is well presented and managed. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. and the public areas were very pleasant. The hotel is central to many different activities in the area, with lots of good restaurants nearby to finish the day at.
Very central in Charlottesville: you can walk right away into the main pedestrian area from the hotel. We had the corner suite, which provided us with a great view over the main avenue and tons of light. Pool and jacuzzi were amazing.
the hotel I was staying at in Charlottesville was a great hotel and it was close to restaurants, shops Amtrak station and close to Football Stadium too
and it was close to Monticello also.
great breakfast every morning
