They were super friendly, and the room was very clean. Loved the huge refrigerator and freezer for our stay which was planned with food of four days.

Loved the size of the pool and the depth was perfect for kids. The hot tub worked great and the sauna worked well, it was a neat experience, I didn't spend too much time there.
The size of the hotel was nice, being on the first floor, we didn't have to walk far for the pool or breakfast.
Breakfast had the usual quick grab and minimum options. But there was decent coffee, hot water, and a microwave. I accommodate and bring my own oatmeal and food.
I enjoyed the artwork and decorations throughout the lobby.
Would have been nice to have access to hot water after breakfast. But I Just heated up a cup of water in the microwave, I just like drinking hot tea throughout the day and to unwind.
The room was cozy and comfortable. Could have used another chair. The bed wasn't bad, comfortable, just the headboard is too small for tall people. Needed more pillows and blankets, which we brought our own blankets. The staff were all friendly and accommodating.
Would return to this hotel again.

The location with a reasonable price . We were on Lake Superior with fall foliage and northern lights. The hostess was very helpful and friendly.
Not a far drive to Lake Superior and beaches. Good roads for being off the beaten path. On the edge of a tiny 4 corner, rural town but close to the larger tourist towns along Lake Superior. Chatam has a family dairy queen and a small coffee shop/mom and pop restaurant. We ate at the Brownstone Inn on a highway along the lake about 12 miles from Chatam. About 18 miles to the Pictured Rocks on Lake Superior in Munising, a main Michigan tourist attraction. About 30 miles from Marquette Mi. on Lake Superior, also a main tourist attraction city. Getting around is very easy. We are not a young couple. For any couple, hiking to numerous waterfalls. Boat tours. Swimming. Hunting Lake Superior agates. Hunting glow rocks at night on L.S. with black lights. Fishing. Endless variety for outdoor lovers.

We didn’t do much exploring in Chatham but we did visit the little grocery/ convenience store. The people were friendly and even the neighbors of the store were friendly. I only wish I would’ve tried the ice cream across the street from the store.

Chatham is a small town near Munising.
Chatham is a small town near Munising. I stayed during a snow storm and didn't want to travel far. There is a co-op store with everything you need. I spent most of my weekend in the Chatham Pub. The atmosphere was very friendly, clean, and the food is decent. I had a very good time snowed in a very small town.

Our six-day stay was excellent for a "Memory Lane" visit to the area. Our accommodations exceeded our expectations and the inn keepers were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Our rooms were immaculately clean and very comfortable, The location was quiet and peaceful with manicured lawns and landscaping. If you are lucky on a rare occasion you might hear the nearby cows at MSU's Research Farm across the road "sing" as they change pastures. It was an enjoyable experience staying here.

The Village Inn is an AMAZING value and an unbelievable great find. Large rooms, comfortable beds, immaculately cleaned, and friendly and accommodating host. Would not hesitate to book here when visiting the area in the future. Do not second guess booking a stay at the Village Inn. You will not be disappointed.
I was not familiar with the area and was a bit concerned about being so secluded but this place was the best hotel I have ever stayed in! I felt very safe. It was clean, spacious and so quiet. Management were so friendly and accommodating they made you feel at home.
This little hotel is a gem. You can pay hundreds of dollars more and not be anywhere close to the cleanliness, comfort, and I can’t say enough about the management.
