We liked everything: the room has been recently renovated so everything is brand new (bathroom included) and the walls are made of wood, so it felt like a cabin. The view of the lake is great. There is a private small porch for every room. Loon lake is lovely. Great value.

Check the availability of the bar and restaurant when booking. Unknown to us these were not available because of a wedding reception. We were not told about this.

We rented a cabin which seemed to be brand new and super clean. We needed late check in and they have a good system for it. All stuff vere super friendly.

We like Warrensburg. The area the hotel is in is a strange mix of big well-tended houses and properties that seem to have been abandoned. The river and the parks around it are beautiful, and there are a couple of nice restaurants around in addition to the one at The Bond.

Great little lodge just round the corner from the ski resort. The room had a double bed and bunk beds for kids. It was self check-in so didn’t meet the staff in person but they were friendly and helpful in our interactions online. The bar on site was busy but fun for our after ski entertainment. There were plenty of restaurants a short drive away. For breakfast, there is nowhere on site so we brought our own with us. There was a coffee machine, microwave and fridge in the room so this worked fine. We enjoyed our stay and are likely to re-book next year.

Our stay was unexpected, as the reviews were very positive, especially regarding cleanliness. However, when we entered the room, it was easy to notice dirt in the bathroom, which was far from clean. The shower had stains, and the windows were covered in cobwebs. The place was also extremely cold, with an inadequate supply of blankets, making it feel freezing at night. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially considering the quality-to-price ratio

Not much to Chestertown itself, or the surrounding areas, but the rental was right on the Hudson River, so quiet was perfect. We chose to cook for the 4 nights, so we went to the local supermarket. Not the greatest selection, but we managed.

There are some great choices to go out to eat. Some are close to the lake others are in town. Loon Lake is great for kayaking/ canoeing, fishing, and water skiing/etc. The town has a public beach on the lake with ample parking. There is a marina on the other end of the lake and a state boat launch next to the town beach on the south side of the lake. Also this town is a short drive to Schroon Lake and other nearby lakes with state manned boat launches. It is also about 30-45 minutes from Lake George. Several kayakers are out and about at 8 in the morning, motor boats follow with water skiers etc after that. If you paddle closer to the short you do not have to worry about power boats. There are nearby hiking trails. By July there is a lot of wildlife to see on the lake including loons, ducks, herons, eagles, etc.

Once we got to our cabin, we did not really traverse the town too much - the driveway was a little to steep. The lake was excellent, and the views were fantastic.
The most we saw was drive out to the highway, and was nice. There was a Dunkin Donuts, so no complaints.

Chestertown is quaint.
Chestertown is quaint. I am 4th generation Loon Lake family, unfortunately the lake has gotten very crowded with jets skis and party boats. It's too bad "new money" doesn't come with social manners, but this is true of people everywhere in America these days.
