This was our 3rd stay in Chincoteague.
This was our 3rd stay in Chincoteague. The locals are so laid back and friendly. Ready to help letting us know places to eat. One of the few places we go that folks on the street actually say hello. I would recommend Famous Pizza. Good menu and they delivery to the Hotels. Have ordered from them several times. Also, Steamers for Seafood. It appears to be a favorite locals spot. It has a great location and a very friendly staff.
It has a great location and a very friendly staff. No breakfast which would have been nice, and we brought our own coffee maker. The facility as a whole needs updating but they have done some and the beds are great. Overall we had a good stay and would come back. Beautiful and clean beach. Not too crowded. Small town with great restaurants. Lily's Little Mexican food truck is authentic and delicious! Most restaurants are closed by 9pm. We loved Chincoteague!! It is sooo beautiful!!🤩 However, there was one thing we were disappointed with, and that was the service here. Chincoteague before Memorial Day and after Labor Day is...
Chincoteague before Memorial Day and after Labor Day is delightful. The shops are open and traffic is minimal. During the summer season, there are a lot of tourists and traffic. There is only 1 way in and out of the island (other than your own boat) and it can quickly become very congested. Other than that, there are many restaurants with varied menus and price points. I recommend going to the Wildlife Refuge and driving the Loop. On this visit, we were able to see a large group of ponies during the drive! Another interesting place to visit is Wallops Flight Facility, which is just before you cross over onto Chincoteague. This is a NASA launch facility, and they have a very interesting display of rockets and other space-related items; you might even catch the launch of a rocket!Guest review byJanetUnited States
