Most everything, the staff is fantastic, and the surroundings are beautiful, I love the social event you have every night for everyone to socialize. Overall I loved the cottages, and the price was right, I would recommend these cottages in a heartbeat.

The location was perfect for the places we visited such as Alexandria Bay and Clayton.
The cabin was very clean and well-stocked. The bed was quite comfortable and the paneling was beautiful to look at.
There is a series of steps down to the dock where we sat and enjoyed the peacefulness of the river. It was very relaxing but also good exercise on the steps.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We love this small town and we would always like to return every summer, we enjoyed shopping, the boat museum and just walking along the riverside walk. The restaurants were lovely and the food was very good.

Clayton is a clean town which is very walkable.
Clayton is a clean town which is very walkable. There are numerous shops and restaurants along the St. Lawrence River.
We chose to eat at the Channelside Restaurant the first night of our stay because it had a great river view. The food was excellent and it was a casual place.
The next night, we ate at the Seaway Grill in the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel, which is where we were staying. The view was nice there, the service was great, and our meals were outstanding. We also had breakfast there the following morning. Those meals were excellent too. Their portions are huge. We both had leftovers to enjoy at home!

It was a beautiful clean town with many shops and places to eat. The views over the water was very nice. The things at shops were very expensive. Even the Amish were selling things that were way over priced. All in all I loved the area.

Clayton has certainly improved.
Clayton has certainly improved. The downtown has been renovated, utilities have been put underground which makes the downtown charming. There are many good restaurants. We ate breakfast and Dinner at the Seaway Grille and the quant Coffee Cove Restaurant.A trip would not be complete with out a visit to Foxy’s Restaurant. There are lots of unique shops in Clayton, such as Carla’s Christmas Shop, Michael Ringer Galleries and the Eagle Shoppe. Clayton has an opera house and one of the best antique boat museums. Clayton is located on the shore of the St. Lawrence River in the center of the Thousand Islands.

Lyrics coffee house has amazing frozen coffees.
Lyrics coffee house has amazing frozen coffees. Been there a bunch of times. Staff is very friendly.
DiPrinzio’s Kitchen has good pizza and really good wings. You can sit out on the patio and watch the boats go by. Staff is very friendly as well.
Koffee Kove has some yummy food as well, but didn’t get to stop in this year. We went there last year. Staff is also very friendly.
I love Clayton. It’s a beautiful little town with so much to see and so much to shop and eat.
The boat museum is pretty cool.

Great place to visit but based on what we saw and heard it...
Great place to visit but based on what we saw and heard it can be quite busy in the summer-time. Lots of touristy shops and restaurants but most close after Columbus Day. Nice state parks with lots of hiking trails and interesting nature centers. Uncle Sam's Boat Tours is definitely worth the price and if you go between Memorial Day and Columbus Day you can see Baldt and Singer Castles. A great place to eat is JK's Roadhouse outside Alexandria Bay. You don't need a car to see Clayton or Alexandria Bay...both towns and all they have to offer can be walked to. Next trip will be after Labor Day and before Columbus Day!

The hotel is an a superb location looking over the St Lawrence River. The views from the property are quite wonderful. And the hotel itself is modern, very clean, with nice bar and dining room. It is an ideal choice of place to stay when visiting Clayton and/or the surrounding Thousand Islands area.
Well appointed rooms; friendly staff; great location in Clayton; good variety of rooms and cottages; Internet is excellent; spacious grounds on the St. Lawrence River, good for swimming and all water sports
