I am very picky about my room. This room was the cleanest and nicest room I've ever stayed in! Thank you so much, I was exhausted and slept so good! Wish we would not have had to leave before breakfast.

For the facility near airport and room rate, Very comfortable stay, clean room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom for the give size. The breakfast is a decent one and airport shultle is convinced. One vehicle parking comes along with room price, so extra payment is required

Close to the All State Arena, an EXCELLENT breakfast place called First Watch, Starbucks close by, Giordano's awesome Chicago style pizza a short drive away and if you are there in December, check out the Christmas lights behind giordanos on Glen lake Rd(?). Fast food choices nearby as well as other stores.

We were there for a convention, I do not recommend the Hibachi buffet. Their food was not the greatest. Getting around was difficult, due to many conventions and concerts going on. Took us a half an hour to get across the street to our hotel in a car, on the way back from the convention. Gas prices were ridiculously high. If you are a smoker, buy your cigarettes from home, they were almost $16 for one pack of cigarettes. Download the app for Illinois tolls, that made it much easier to get through the tolls. Set your map to avoid tolls, this helped with most of going around the tolls.

The place is ideal for people who need to stay near the airport, almost all the hotels offer shuttle services. It's near the CTA station as well. Many chained fast food/ restaurants along with all retail stores are nearby as well.

i was awoke at 11:48 p.m. claiming they smelled smoke. i was sleeping in my underwear. i told him he did not have permission to enter, however, he DID enter my room while my girlfriend and I were sleeping in our underwear. Thankfully, the door was latched. They then charged me $250, i asked for proof, they said they had pictures and i am still waiting for that. Horrible place.

Where to start in describing my short stay at the Best...
Where to start in describing my short stay at the Best western Des Plaines? I travel for work so I booked here for 3 nights through booking .com. I work in healthcare and I work night shift. And despite informing the receptionist that I would kindly like not to be disturbed during the day, I did not get to a chance to sleep. Firstly, the house keeping kept knocking on my door the whole day, shouting in the hallway and at some point they opened my door twice. I kept ignoring them but later when I got to open, there was a guy at the door who walked into my room right away to test the fire alarm. I found this both rude and as a woman traveling alone very uncomfortable. During my second day I made a decision to shorten my stay therefore I decided to check out at 6pm yet they charged my card for 3 nights. When I called, the manager was very rude to me “That is our policy” he kept repeating in a tone I wouldn't use on a dog. “Your policy is being flexible, our policy states no refund” we were exchanging words back and forth because I did not understand why they had to charge me for the 3rd night I did not use.
Fast forward, To my return I then contacted the central customer support helpline, they forwarded my complaint to the hotel and probably the same manager I spoke to who reiterated their policy again 3 weeks later.
In short let me summarize.
Customer service non existent.
Cleanliness. Poor
Comfort. Poor
Value for money VERY poor.
If you are thinking of staying Western Des plaines. Look for another hotel!

Everything was good, room good size, and all the staff very friendly. Was my first time in the hotel but if someone ask me about a good hotel sincerely I would recommend it.
