bus service in town is excellent and inexpensive I ate twice at a Chinese Restaurant - name 'Cantonese' is part of restaurant name, near corner of 1st St. and 1st Ave. -- good supermarkets just a mile east of downtown on main drag - one of my photos is a comic-book and record store in Superior, which is easily reachable by bus -- I will return in summer to walk on beach magnificent beach of Minnesota Point and to climb the hills adjoining adjoining downtown - It was zero degrees F during my visit, with ice on sidewalks, so walking was limited

Beautiful city, problem with parking unless you stay at downtown hotels with parking facilities. High rates at the Canal Street and the ones close to the area.
Lake Superior is beautiful and relaxing. Overall it is worth to visit.

There is a lot to see iand do in and around Duluth for all ages. Several of our favorites are Canal Park and spending time watching the boats come and go under the lift bridge, going through the William Irvin, Congdon mansion, riding the Duluth Zephyr and visiting the railroad museum, and going up to Enger Tower. There are also opportunities to bike, walk or jog, and swim in Lake Superior if you are so inclined. You might even want to run in Grandma’s Marathon. There are lots of food options. We prefer The Pickwick on Superior Street and Sammie’s Pizza on First Street.

Our room location was at the end of the hallway on the top floor and was nice and quiet. We appreciated getting a room on the top floor as we requested. The motel was quite affordable and a good "deal" during a time when it's hard to find a reasonably priced hotel. It was also pretty clean for such an older building. We loved that windows opened and we could get fresh air! Staff was friendly.
The room was great and the price was competitive with other hotels. We wanted to be near the Miller Hill Mall part of Duluth so the location worked well for us.
Our room was upgraded and it was excellent.
Facilities in the room such as coffee fridge and microwave were really useful.
