For the amount of money the room was not clean at all. We were supposed to stay longer but couldn't. I had to clean the room we stayed in for the one night to make sure it was good for my family. Even leaving and not staying the whole time even though this was brought up to the staff they still think it's ok to charge for the whole stay

This was a great two day stop in Colonial Williamsburg on our way from FL to NY. The room was just what we needed at a reasonable price.

This place is not a good place for a family traveling and needing something to feel safe and rest. The bottom of the bath tub was nasty. The coating that's put on the tubs when made had all peeled up and was nasty. And they need a designated smoking area AWAY from the building. I filled a complaint about all of the people smoking near my door and the smoke coming into my room and NOTHING was done about it. I was traveling with my kids and they don't need to smell all that crap that was being smoked out there, and I was told there was nothing to be done. Well yes it was the manager could have asked them to move away from the building so the smoke wouldn't come into others rooms. People get NON-SMOKING rooms for a reason.
Gloucester is a wonderful community brimming with history...
Gloucester is a wonderful community brimming with history and excellent local attractions. There are several antique stores/markets in the area as well as unique boutique shops that sell a wide variety of items. These include clothing, bath & body items, and hand-crafted items. Gloucester Courthouse also is home to several locally owned eating establishments. Among my favorites is Olivia's where you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast to begin your day. Olivia's also serves lunch and dinner featuring traditional Virginia dishes. It is popular among the locals, which is always a good indication of excellent food. Gloucester Courthouse is also home to an art co-op, Art on the Main, that features artwork by local artists. The co-op also offers art classes. Most importantly, the people of Gloucester are friendly and inviting providing genuine southern hospitality to visitors.

The location was great-away from everyone in a small town. Had a little trouble finding a decent restaurant in the area, but made the best of what was available. The home was comfortable, spacious, clean and gorgeous! The host even left us water and snacks! Celebrating our anniversary was awesome, we sat in the swings by the water and watched the sunset! Even had the fire pit going for a minute! It was so beautiful to wake up in the morning to see the incredible sunrise. It was very peaceful.
The Inn is in a secluded location close to a vast body of water, its historic premises are beautiful and nicely appointed. The staff is kind and friendly. Breakfast is good. Staying at the Inn, walking in its many rooms and wandering in its extensive garden you breath the atmosphere of past times. It is a fabulous and most rewarding feeling.
The receptionist was very nice. The bed was comfortable and I love that they have dove products in the bathroom. Last year in august, we stayed at the hotel next door because this hotel was getting remodeled. It looks as if they’re still doing a little more updates. I have no complaints.
