The woman that checked us in ( Shelly, I was told.) was so sweet and kind! The room was great, especially since my son is in a wheelchair. Breakfast was great for us too! We really enjoyed our visit.

    Grinnell is a college town but they are improving it all the...

    Grinnell is a college town but they are improving it all the time. They are working a Historical Museum (but do not know the date it will be open). They have a Wal-Mart and it is less than a mile from the Country Inn and it is easy on and off from Interstate 80.

    This hotel is without a doubt the best option to stay in the quaint little town. The repurposed old school building was a pleasant surprise, with lots of space in the corridors as well as the rooms. I loved the modern clean design. The room was well laid out and spotless, with lots of privacy. We could park our car directly in front of the hotel.

    I was a little surprised that the overall cleanliness (floors) throughout the hotel were not like they usually are. It did not affect the quality of our stay, but getting up the next morning it was clear no one had the time to clean all the floors. That said, it was a great place.
