Located in Hannibal, 22 miles from Oakley-Lindsay Center, Super 8 by Wyndham Hannibal has a garden and tennis court.

The hotel was a bit clean but not fresh. Bare minimum but fine if you just need a place to sleep for the night. The breakfast was terrible. High sugar cereals, waffles and fruit in a cup. Not a bit of protein. Not worth eating unless you want diabetes.

Gully is an exceptional host. Not our first stay at Riverside. Best place in Hannibal to stay. Everything is right there in walking distance. The rooms are very nice. Super comfy bed!! And the jetted tub is the best!

Hannibal is a cute and fairly well-preserved Rivertown where you can find yourself lost in history and enjoy some quiet time outside. You can definitely see everything in about a day and a half, making it a good/easy weekend trip. I would most recommend the Rockcliff mansion which is a stunning example of the opulence of the Gilded Age just before the Great Depression. I’ve been on a lot of house tours and never seen one with so much of the original furnishings, woodwork, tile, and stain glass. The Mark Twain cave and the Mark Twain riverboat cruise are also must-sees. There are some great antique shops if you like looking for hidden treasures . The food scene is a little hit and miss, but Java Jive is a great place for breakfast, pastries, delicious coffee, and unique gifts.

Unfortunately, we only had one evening and the next morning to spend in town. However, during that time, we were able to walk the main street of eclectic stores, visit Lover's Leap, enjoy a dinner on the riverboat cruise, visit the light house and experience Mark Twain Cave. We will be back with our children next time to enjoy much of the same and hopefully a whole lot more.

I was in town for work and did not have any time to check out the town. From what little I saw, there are many old historic looking buildings and lots of tourist type things to see. I think it would be a good weekend getaway for the wife and I.

If you love Mark Twain (who doesn't?)

If you love Mark Twain (who doesn't?) then Hannibal will be a treat. If you don't, well, I'm sure there are other interesting things to do in other places. But all Twain lovers will be enthralled by how well the Clemons, Hawkins (Becky Thatcher) and Blankenship (Huck Finn) homes are preserved. The Twain museum is also first rate and the gift shop has great souvenirs. The setting on the Mississippi is beautiful and helps you appreciate what inspired Twain's many books and stories about it. Highly recommended for all Twain fans!

Hannibal is an awesome location for anyone to enjoy who loves history. It is a family friendly destination with plenty to do for people of all ages. Prices for attractions are reasonable. Very friendly shop owners and tour guides. You really cannot go wrong with a visit to Hannibal. The only note of caution is for older people who have a hard time with mobility. Some of the attractions such as the Mark Twain Cave and Cardiff Hill would be difficult to enjoy. However, the historic homes, museum and shops are easily accessible.

Breakfast was excellent as usual. Chris is a marvelous host. The b and b is one block from an excellent restaurant called LaBinnah Bistro, which has never disappointed me. I always stay at the Garden House and eat at LaBinnah Bistro on my trips through Hannibal.

We stayed for one night on a longer road trip. The room was large and comfortable but quite dated and there was a good bit of evidence of wear and tear on the furniture. The location was convenient to drive into Hannibal which is a beautiful town.
