This is a wonderful area to spend a vacation.
This is a wonderful area to spend a vacation. Easy driving distance to pretty much everything in the area. We did a day trip to Copper Harbor and loved it. Coming back to Houghton as our base of operations was nice. A small area compared to where we live now but there was plenty to do. We had a nice walk around town. I am originally from this area (Dollar Bay). It's always nice to come back and see what has changed and what hasn't. Almost everything for the 4th of July celebration was cancelled but that would have been like that anywhere. Good restaurants, plenty of places to visit.
