Jersey City – 166 hotels and places to stay

This hotel is 3.6 km from the Liberty State Park and Science Center and the Statue of Liberty. It offers an airport shuttle to Newark Liberty International Airport.

Ramada is good hotel to stay in Jersey City, bus stop is 5 minutes' walk so is General Square station. Rooms are big and clean with coffee make and oven in the room. However, they don't provide drinking water, staff is not that friendly, they can't provide services on time like if you want some help neither they offer any luggage movement help. Breakfast is very average. Rate is high compared to location is 1 hour away from Manhattan. However, hotel is safe and nearby all Indian, pakistani restaurant is available.

Located 380 metres from Newport Center Mall's shopping and dining, Courtyard Jersey City Newport offers an indoor pool and free WiFi.

The pillows could have been thinner and better. Pillows were so thick that I woke up with headache each day. Location is fantastic , they could do better with sound insulation as I could literally hear the guests living in my adjacent room throughout my stay .

    Getting around was good.

Getting around was good. I had business to do back in Manhattan area and to also see family in Canarsie area and the traveling by car back and forth was good. We got some beef patties from Amazing Flavors which were awesome. We ate at the Chinese restaurant as you come off of Roosevelt from the place we stayed we made a right at the corner were the markets and all were and I believe the restaurant was named China Garden, they were fast and delicious. All places to shop for groceries and to order food was about 800feet from where we stayed. Jersey City we will be back!!! 💫

Being by the harbour side in JC is so relaxing with the best views of Manhattan. Liberty park is close by and there are some excellent places to eat. You could easily stay here and quickly and cheaply get in to NY via the PATH

I found Jersey City to be a very nice area.

I found Jersey City to be a very nice area. I walked everywhere and was very safe. There are people everywhere, and I only encountered one man who was having a drug-fueled psychotic episode on the street. So, in comparison to most of Manhattan, JC was very sweet.

Jersey City - I would stay in Newport, Jersey City again.

Jersey City - I would stay in Newport, Jersey City again. I've stayed NYC but would only stay in Jersey City in the future. Jersey City is clean, modern and reflects the calmer side of life rather than getting caught up in the noise of NYC. Great transport links to NYC by PATH, ferry and bus. The shopping mall had some great restaurants and eateries offering rustic bread sandwiches, salad bowls and ramen bowls. There's an Indian grocery store on 10th Street offering THE VERY BEST Indian food I've ever tasted. It's a must do while you're in Newport.

We decided to stay in jersey city after a day in New York as it was very quick travel and got us closer to Liberty State Park for the next day. To find a hotel with free parking and access to our car was key. Not having to drag your suitcase down the streets from your payed parking spot was a nice luxury to have. Jersey city is only 6 miles from midtown Manhattan and 6 miles from Liberty state park. After the statue of liberty, Jersey city has a KPot which is a must try or go if you've been before! AYCE!!!!

If you want to visit Manhattan every day the PATH (basically a metro, going to Jersey) is the way to go if you will use public transport. BUT! If you are a foreigner check first how the foreign credit/debit cards work (or better to say how they are not) with the ticket wending machines.... they are funny things and usually do not accept cash.

Hotel reviews are always interesting to read. Some customers expect Marriott quality service at a knock off price. By local (Jersey City and Manhattan) standards, Ramada by Wyndham is very good value. The room was big, spacious, clean and quiet, it is only 5 mins walk from the PATH and whilst the breakfast was basic, it is a cheap hotel so I didn't expect anything better. If you wanna stay close to Manhattan but can't afford to stay in Manhattan, this is ideal.

Nice modern, convenient hotel in good location. Covers all the essentials, including a decent breakfast. Walking distance to sights around downtown Jersey City. Good access to Holland Tunnel (and NYC!). Good size room. Very nice views. Nice bathroom. Nice large beds. Good internet. Close to mall and fast food. Friendly staff. It’s not fancy, but it was modern and met all our needs.
