This was great place to stay, super comfy bed and very clean. The key to the front door can be a little tricky so you might want to get comfortable with it before you take off for the first time. We will definitely visit again when the season is in full swing.

Shhh!
Shhh! Don't let the nearby big cities know about the absolute gem that is Joseph, OR! It is the distillation of a cozy mountain town that is still quaint, accessible, inexpensive, and varied yet not crowded. We fully sampled everything in the area over 3 nights but outdoor adventurers and professional relax-cationers would like to stay longer. We stayed the beginning of June which was perfect weather and perfect tourist numbers.
STELLAR mountain views from everywhere, abundant and easily accessible nature, lots of mini activities, several museums and art galleries, variety of food and restaurants, short and walking-friendly Joseph main street and state park strips.

Joseph is original homelands of the Nez Perce people.
Joseph is original homelands of the Nez Perce people. It is in a beautiful location with mountains, streams and lake. There are artist's venues on main street in elegant shops. Our favorite cafe is so popular there was no room for us the last day. The Cheyenne Cafe good home cooking but small in atmosphere. Great Mexican restaurants there also.
