We were in town for a concert at the Golden Nugget and just staying for one night so I didn’t want to spend too much money on a room because we were leaving for Europe in the next 3 days. The Best Western was not cheap by any means, but it was less expensive than most hotels in the city! The lobby is very nice and the staff is very kind but the room was quite incredible. My husband and I were taken aback because staying on the 2nd floor you would expect the floor to be supported correctly, but these floors were awful. I cannot believe they would lay carpet over these floors because there were dips in the plywood below all over the room and you could trip easily if you weren’t careful. The room had a slant so both of us were dizzy when we were in the room and not lying down. The bed was comfortable enough, but not great. So If you are considering this hotel, just skip it altogether.

The facility was very clean. You could smell the cleanliness as soon as you walked in! It was conveniently located to Walmart and 5 to 10 minutes away from eating places and a couple casinos which is why I went!😂 Stayed 2 nights, me and a friend. We were asked about needing our room cleaned but we declined as we did not need it. We were happy with everything and would visit again!

    While L'Auberge Casino is certainly worth visiting and seeing, the slots seemed to have higher minimum bets. The coffee and soft drink stations along the walls were nice, though. Decor and grounds are an experience. We stayed at the Horseshoe and loved the art deco vibe. Gordon Ramsay's restaurant was the main reason for the trip and was very good (pricey, of course) with excellent service. Dessert was incredible. Had a good burger at a hole in the wall in old downtown and like the waterfront park in that area. Remember that this is a working port, which makes views from and around the casino very industrial. If you'll be offended by a view of cargo ships and refineries from your hotel, Lake Charles is not for you. You'll also see buildings damaged by hurricanes that have yet to be repaired. Some areas look a bit dystopian. Tourists are typically there for the casinos, after all. The million dollar homes along Shell Beach Drive are worth seeing if you're driving around.

    Staff was excellent in everything making my stay very enjoyable and comfortable. The only thing which prevented me from giving your casino the highest rate was the service from the eating places there.

    Everything is good except receptionist.

    Everything is good except receptionist. I think they’re face of your hotel, but they’re not look professional at all. And they’re not friendly at all, you need train them as professionals receptionist as like your hotel value.

    Wish there were a tub‼️

    Wish there were a tub‼️Consistency is great with repeated visits. Employees are friendly and outgoing, enjoyable always. Medical rates would be very appreciated w/ proof of surgery or procedures. Transport to hospital would be wonderful when can’t drive self and there alone.

    The Traffic was bad, but what can you expect on Interstate 10. We only got out once to go to lunch at a place called Steamboat Bill's would Highly recommend. The food was awesome and only topped by the service.

    Next door was the Golden Nugget which seemed to have a whole lot more to offer than this place. I was very disappointed in everything that went on basically except my room was pretty clean. The elevators not working was very disturbing and having to take the stairs. For the price of money you paid there should have been a refund for this! Why do you not have a elevator working this is ridiculous. And then they lied and said they take cash and charge the card anyway. Scam artists
