Upon arrival we found out the elevator was broken. We had to use the stairs with 2 toddlers & an infant. The first room was extremely small & the fridge didn’t work & the tv remote was gone. The second room we were put in smelt had, had paint splatters all over the floor as well as stains.

It's an odd location but so worth the discovery. An oasis with a mini tropical resort vibe -exactly what you expect of anything inspired by Jimmy Buffet. It features an outdoor heated pool and we enjoyed watching kids from a softball team making the most of it during the early evening hours. We really like the Five o'clock Somewhere bar and the menu is perfect for a bite with a cocktail after a day of driving. The rooms are a nice size, lovely bathroom and shower, spotless and comfortable bed. There is a mini fridge in the room for your water or soda. My husband loves the breakfast buffet in the morning that offers a pretty extensive array including scrambled eggs, breakfast meats and potatoes. I enjoy the toast and fruit. We have stayed here for the last three years on our anniversary trips to Lake Tahoe. Not once have we been disappointed in the service, room or staff. Everyone is very nice.

Located in Medford and within 11 miles of Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Medford features free bikes, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The room was nicely updated and well put together. The pool downstairs was pretty small and there was no hot tub but it was a salt water pool I believe because there was no nasty chlorine smell, and I’d rather have a smaller salt water pool than a larger chlorine pool any day. My husband and daughter had three breakfast and enjoyed it. My biggest complaint is on cleanliness within the bathroom in our room specifically. There was some kind of substance on the wallpapered accent wall near the toilet that appeared to be vomit or feces from someone’s stay that hadn’t been cleaned off and there was what appeared to be a booger stuck to the tile wall in the shower. My other complaint is that in contrast to the nicely the updated tile surround in the shower, the shower head was very poor quality and was so plugged with minerals from the water that it sprayed all directions but there wasn’t a good spray towards where you stand to take a shower.

Being native Oregonians who moved to Idaho, we realize that the homeless situation isn't the responsibility of local businesses. But the situation is so bad there. There are even people loitering in the common area all day long next to your hotel. It's the only downside of visiting Oregon.

    Medford has changed drastically.

Medford has changed drastically. We used to stop there when we traveled between California and Washington at least four times a year. It is now been taken over by the homeless population the entire west side of the highway is nothing like it used to be. All of the businesses are closed down and these poor homeless people are crowded into former store fronts, parking lots and run down hotels. It is NOT the town it once was. Clearly, Medford does not have the resources available to address the homeless population and it is extremely sad to see these people suffering

The amount of U-turns one has to do in Medford is wild to me! Odd road layouts but definitely made me and my cohort laugh a lot about all the roundabouts we did. Fast/commercial dining and gas stations were close by on every corner which was easy for a traveler though I prefer some mom and pop stores and independent diners/grills/pubs but those merchants didn't pop up on my food searches until the 3rd page on my serches.

We are relocating to Oregon, and have been researching statistics as far as education, crime, etc. Medford does rank pretty high on the crime index, although during our stay it seemed fine. We have stayed in Medford 4 times and each time we have arrived too late to enjoy the city or see it. However, that is because we always break up the trip into 5-6 hour driving lengths.

Proximity To Ashland, which is a dream land in mid May, all green. Medford is wonderfully simple with 1 hour required to go through security, check bags and get to the gate. Bravo! But security kept my 2 and a half inch Swiss Army knife. I thought knives that short were allowed years ago. I have carried it through numerous security gates in the past. Put it in your checked bags. Since we had no car, we ordered a fantastic, maybe the best pizza from Abby’s who agreed to deliver. It was stacked high with spinach, artichoke hearts, black olives on a Greek pizza. The driver went out of his way to find us, as we had called our hotel the airport Marriott. He went to the wrong Medford Marriott. He brought it to our room. Katie was the nice person on the phone that kept the pizza coming to us. 3 other restaurants named by the hotel did not order .

Often I check into hotels with a "Newly Renovated" sign out front only to be disappointed to find the changes were pretty superficial. But not here... as while the exterior is somewhat unassuming the interior has been renovated top to bottom. Excellent show stall and bathroom, the stove / sink combo works really well, and the new floor is great. Everything new and super clean. Room size excellent as well. Highly recommend as a value option in Medford.

When I first arrived, I was impressed by the initial service I received. The person at reception was informative and answered all of my questions. Also, at the time of my arrival, I was surprised at the details in the room for it being a basic and economical hotel. I was surprised that they provided things like quality coffee with the coffee maker and that they provided essential bathroom body products, even makeup remover- which was different.

I had a great experience during my stay. The hotel is lovely, with comfortable beds for a restful night. One of the standout features is the breakfast—it's not something you find at every hotel, and it was a pleasant surprise. Overall, everything was nice, and I'd recommend it to others.
